  1. Man, I'm just the opposite on the IMSA stuff. I love it! I have about a half dozen kits with the huge, add on parts. I need to dig them out and build them. Those kits take me back to when I first started building kits, and when I was in High School. (1978-1981). At the time, those were the coolest thing going. I'm gonna have to buckle down and get some more of those kits. I have only the AMT Monza from 3 or 4 years ago, and I need a couple MPC Monzas in order to kit bash a Mondo Street Warrior!!!
  2. Great Build. That engine is very nice, and I'll echo what others said about your wheel choice. It is perfect.
  3. I will. You'll do okay.
  4. Dark Ghost Gray will always be flat. It's a USAF Colour. F-15's and F-16's use it for part of their camo paint jobs.
  5. I'd go with a pale grey, myself. That would fit the common colour palette for equipment back then.
  6. Try these. https://www.modelroundup.com/product-p/gr-11043.htm
  7. Yeah, that top one brings back memories.
  8. I am blessed to be still employed. Not sure how much longer, though. Trucking may be huge right now, but my company is strictly Flatbeds. And, now is not a good time for Flats. The oilfields in California are slowing way,way down, and that is my primary source of freight. I wish our company could pivot to Dry Van, but you cannot even think about laying your hands on a spare Van trailer right now. They are all in use. I'll just keep plugging along. And Praying. Lots and Lots of praying.
  9. I just need a good kit of the Macross ( I think) "Rifleman" Mech. The only one I know, the only one I like. The only one I'll ever build too. https://www.sarna.net/wiki/Rifleman
  10. I have that Stomper Blazer and Dune Buggy kit. I'll bet that's a kit I still could not give away 35 years later.
  11. That Revell Monza, sorry as it is, sticks in my memory as the first car kit I built to completion. I'd built others, but that was one of the first that I finished.NO paint though, just glue. I liked the black plastic, as it looked "Cool" to me at the time. I should try to find one.
  12. Hey, Round2! Think We can get that Toyota 4x4 Fire Chief Truck? I've already got two of the 2513 4x4 kits, but that Light Commercial Fire Chief Truck is a Winner. I need the Topper.
  13. Yes, Scott, I've seen them on real cars. Both were the VW "New Beetle" back about 10-15 years ago, I think. One a Cabrio the other just plain. Looked pretty good. Young Women driving them, of course.
  14. Thanks, Adam. Nice to forget the "Crazy" for a few minutes.
  15. Man, that Little Merc is a sharp looking kit. I had one 30 years ago. I truly regret getting rid of it.
  16. Excellent Save.
  17. Man! What a sharp build. I'd swear I've seen that car out a Famoso Dragstrip.
  18. I really Like those Square Mirrors, Steve. I even had something similar on my '73 Chevy Wagon, back in the '80's.
  19. It's April, and the budget is shot! Well, plenty of kits to enjoy. I just spent $135.00 at a Major Online Mailorder house myself. My budget will need a couple months to Recover.
  20. Nick, did you ever get the Longbed built for this truck? I'd really like to see it.
  21. It looks ok, but the functionality is still a bit buggy and slow. I'm sure it will improve as time goes by. It does at least have more & better photos than the old site.
  22. Great Build. Inspires me to get back to mine.
  23. Too Cool! I really like it!
  24. For me, musical escape groups are Def Leppard, Yes (the whole album 90125) and the Talking Heads.
