  1. My hobby room is called the "Lurkem", after the place the Onceler hangs out in the Dr Seuss book "The Lorax".
  2. When these kits first came out, I was already planning on swapping the engines, so Revell has done what I had thought of back then. Like Dennis, I'll be getting a couple of these kits when they appear. I'll be waiting patiently for the Coupe when it comes back. I have no doubt that Blitz Partners will leave that kind of sales potential on the table, so I'm hoping that the Coupe will return someday. I am keen to see what other surprises this tool family has in store for us, as well. There could easily be more variants from this family that we know nothing about. For now though, I'll be happy to build a couple fresh new Roadsters.
  3. Boy! Somebody has a UCMJ Article 15 Hearing to go to. That first pic shows just how strong those truck were.
  4. I don't know, Mike. Those Square Body S-10's were like Roaches here in Cali. They were EVERYWHERE! I still see a few, even now. I'd be thrilled to have the Monogram kit back. I'll start looking on eBay for one.
  5. Man, I have 5 of the One/One scale units sitting in my yard at work. Maybe now I can build a replica of the trucks that I manage.
  6. Great Bill. I'll be watchung for them.
  7. Drat! I may have to do it anyway, if'n I want one.
  8. Yep, Steve, I agree with you.
  9. Cap'n I really like the way this going. The Red/Black contrast is sharp. Keep it up!
  10. Yeah, I have one of the originals. I passed on getting one at HL, figuring that I'd get one on the next trip. NO such luck. I've only seen it the one time. I should just Mail-Order one at full price. THAT will get HL to re-stock them...........?
  11. I've order small parts from him and seen his bodies. Buy With Confidence.
  12. So, after hitting Michaels, I finally made it to HL. No 1960 Chevy Pick up, ( I hope thet re-stock that one someday) but I DID find the Revell 1985 Olds 442/FE3-X kit. So my day ended with a Revell G-Body shopping Spree. Now to get the Revell '86 Monte Carlo kit.
  13. I hear you, Hakan. I really do. But I would not be so quik to blame the guys at Round2. Their 'business case' for what makes a "good model", differs significantly from yours. (and Mine too. 1912 Mercer, anybody?) Round2 has been pouring tooling dollars into new tools. They are just not doing so with car kits. (right now). If you are a Space 1999 Fan or a Star Trek Fan, Round2 has been going flat out. So, will they ever get around to to tooling up a new body, engine, and interior, for a 56 year old car that nobody under the age of 40 is going to know or care about? Notgonnahappen.com. You love your car. Heck, I was born in 1963. I love your car! But I don't see the tooling Round2 has right now, being changed or improved in any way, IN the foreseeable future. The Business case for doing so just does not make sense right now. Someday it might. Right now, I doubt it. I wish it were not that way.
  14. Mine was stocking the '60 Chevy Pickup. I saw it once. It has never been in stock since. I really wish I could get one.
  15. Mine is about 9 crates smaller than this...........
  16. Went to Michaels. First time in over a year. HL has been getting $40.00 a month Model Money for that long. Anyway, Michaels is Blowing out the Revell 1983 Hurst Olds kits for 18.00 each. With the 40% coupon, I got 10.00 change back from a Twenty!! I mat get another one. As an Aside, the Model area was a complete shambles. Kits scattered in clumps and stacks. Lots of empty space. But some kits that I have not seen at HL, in ages. ECTO , Christine Plymouth, Both the Orange and Green AMT 1970 1/2 Camaro kits. I may have to swing by and check there more often.
  17. Charlie, I agree with you. Simplified Promo or not, I really like both of the AMT '63's called out here. Both the Impala and the Galaxie, or a treasure trove of early 1960's goodness, with decent bodies, and fun, vintage options. I'll be buying both of these kits when the hit the shelves.
  18. Nice to see the decal sheet. Gives a hint of what MIGHT be on the "Newly Expanded Decal Sheet" that Ronud2 Re-issues are famous for. I could see my self building at least two of these kits, just to try out the huge variety of custom parts.
  19. Looks Like, I need this kit as the base for this build.
  20. Nice!
  21. https://adamrehorn.wordpress.com/model-kits/out-of-box-reviews/round-2-mpc-125-1978-amc-pacer-x-oob/ Here's your engine. And, in the right scale, in a fairly easy to locate kit too.
  22. Elvin, if Lee R. does not get you '63 Impala, I'll trade you for it. Other than the horrible, misshapen, lump of an engine it looks just fine to me.
  23. Most of the siding material on modern campers and trailers is white to start with. Usually they are just spruced up with various designs or stripes. I'd finish the sundry fittings, hinges, edge pieces and window portholes in silver (bare aluminium) and put some graphics or stripes to break up the bare whiteness. Here is great website for Ideas. I've toured this factory and watched these being built. https://www.lancecamper.com/
  24. That is a genuine 1927 Eysoar 33 Cwt, "Barrel Back Bus". A very Rare Machine. Built in Canada, from a combination of NOS Mack Truck & leftover WW1 Tractor Parts (thus the Fordson Radiator), Eysoars are seldom seen today. They were very expensive at the time as each Bus was handcrafted using whatever parts had been hauled in that week. This is only the third Eysoar I've seen, and never in the original Bus Form. The other two Eysoars I've seen had been cut down into trucks.
  25. Yeah, it seems only AMT, MPC and Revell/Monogram kits, can be influenced. I'm on the hunt for a Minty XR-6/Model T kit. That should get something happening, but only AFTER I make the purchase.
