  1. There was some Congress Critter on the news last night with Lester Holt, banging on about grounding all the Old Planes, because they are too old to fly safely. This incident is just further data for him to cherry pick. IMHO, the Massive number of fatalities this time will give him plenty of leverage. I fully expect somebody to sue the Collings Foundation as well. The 'window' that Lunajammer refers to, may close before the next Airshow season starts next Spring. Hopefully sound minds will prevail, but time, cost and the odds of flying are all against seeing these machines stay in the air. Sad, but true.
  2. Tom K. How about an AMT '58 Chevy, or even the AMT/MPC '76 Caprice? Big, Slow boats.
  3. So. This is the Daisy Duke kit, in its entirety, Tires, Decals and all, with only the boxart changed? Sharp Marketing, on Round2s part. Minimal Investment, Brand New kit. It helps that the Daisy Duke version has been off the market for a couple of years. So, to the average H.L./Michaels shopper, it IS a brand new kit. Good Job, Round2 I may get one just for the decals and tires.
  4. The H.U.G. is a good idea, but I'm saddened by all the empty space on the Chrome tree, and the lack of Pad Printed slicks. Once again, great idea, let down by cost cutting.
  5. WooHoo!! Really? Out next Year? I'm in for a case of these................
  6. Fortunately, my inability to see proportional errors or shape issues, renders the kit just perfect to me. I literally see nothing wrong with it. So I'll let others hash out the details and buy one and enjoy it.
  7. I hear you, Robert, but they are 60-65 year old tools. Sad that they are not better, but still better than to pay collector prices, and not even get new decals. My B-25 is in pretty good shape considering.
  8. The Savannah Master is my choice for a re-issue as well. It is a great kit. I've been hunting one for a long, long time.
  9. HPI Guy's Review. From May 2019.
  10. Just Jaw-Droppingly Great Build. The Blue colour you chose sets it off perfectly.
  11. Thanks, Tom. Now I REALLY want one. Off to haunt the 'Bay. I wish I could get to more shows. SoCal seems to have fewer and fewer events anymore.
  12. I can pay in Carbon Credits, but It will have to wait until January when my Account Balance resets. This close to the end of the Fiscal Year the account is now Zero Balance.
  13. Tom Kendal! Outstanding Trade!
  14. So, has anybody see one in resin? I'd like to score a couple of them, Inaccurate Carb mounts and all.
  15. I'll double his offer! I'll give 4 Million for it. (but it'll have to be in Quatloos. You DO take Quatloos, right?)
  16. That AMT-top would make a great kit too. It uses the Snap Jeep CJ chassis, wheels and axles. Round2 could get two kits out of the deal for very little extra work. Throw in a sprue full of Machine Guns and Gas Can and you have a complete Mad Max style kit, that would sell bunches.
  17. Sweet Build. I remember seeing an article in Popular Mechanics about the 'new' Bronco, and it Colour photos of a White over Red Bronco like yours. It was a striking combo, then, and I still remember it 40 years later. Great Job.
  18. Very Interesting, Tom. I'd not noticed the "You gotta be old and have Time & Money to spare" connection with other hobbies. But, now that you bring it up........ I have seen something like this in other hobbies that I am involved in.
  19. Snake, I also got the Lindberg B-17. Not as nice a kit, as the Atlantis kit. Nice decals, but very poor instructions. You can tell that both were tooled in the same time frame. The details are somewhat similar, Golf Ball Rivets and sloppy turrets with broomstick guns. The Seventeen DOES have a decent stand, a trait it shares with the Revell/Atlantis kit. I plan to show them both together.
  20. I've seen the HUP-2, the B-25 and the B=-24. I've already Bought the B-25. Not a bad kit, at all.
  21. Oops. I meant AMT. Now Fixed.
  22. Chris, that sounds like Italeri Plastic in an AMT/Round2 box. Round2 normally molds in only one colour. I am not surprised however, as putting baged shots of your own plastic in somebody elses box is a common thing nowadays. Here is the Italeri page. https://www.italeri.com/en/product/2395/7/34 Note that the Silver Sprue of wheels is common to every Italeri truck kit.
  23. The perfect Finishing touch to the Little Mule. I just watched the movie last night and was inspired to get down my Bronco kit. Your Tips will help me build it, Bill.
