  1. You nailed it Brad. Love the color, even if all we get to see is the tail. You decided to go with Orange Blossom deodorant. Good call. I can hardly wait for decalage.
  2. Great Chris, thanks a lot. Another tool I have to get. Will this madness never end? I sure hope not. Nice update, then again, you've had enough experience.........BAZINGA!!!!
  3. Better and better with every update. I'm digging the header set up.
  4. As long as you don't confuse your can of paint with a can of deodorant, I guess that's okay. Cut to scene: 2016 Desert Scale Classic. "Brad, that's a bad to the bone gasser, but, um, why does it smell spring time fresh?"
  5. I gotta' tell you Niko, I've never seen a drag slick covered in snow. Couldn't you put chains on them for a faster run than that? LOL.
  6. My sincerest wishes that all of my modeling compatriots had a great Christmas and look forward to a Happy New 2016. Or in the case of the next GSL, 2017. Michael, I don't have a terrace. I do however, have a barbeque. It came with the pool. I've been hip deep in hobby room improvements. I put up a pegboard for the tools I'll be needing and I've replaced the drill press table vice with an X Y Milling Vice. I also have a florescent lite to hang and a protective taple top for the bench. The bench top has peg holes that would allow shavings & debris to fall into the drawers. Doncha' hate it when shavings & debris fall into your drawers? You'll see I also picked up some light reading. Finally, it's time to shoot a little recognition to someone who exemplifies what we all expect, but seldom see in this hobby. Most of you know that I fight depression on a daily basis. On one of my worst days I got a letter from the Grand Puba and Supreme Overlord of the GSL, Mark Gustavson. It was simply a letter of apology and a refund check for a pre-paid book I had ordered along with my registration, to tell me the book wasn't available. To remind me that there is still good in the world, I framed the check and letter for inspirational purposes. I also have a plaque with a quote from Mark Twain. "Never put off until tomorrow what you can do the day after tomorrow just as well." Having said that, I'll spend the weekend doing all of that stuff, watching football and I hope to be back to building shortly thereafter. See you all again soon.
  7. Okay, I'm good for another hour or so........
  8. .....And now that we've heard from the Arizona Gang of Three, I'm on their side. Especially about needing to restock Depends.
  9. I don't think the paint job is hard enough for John.
  10. I just checked out the old 1/25th build you did, again, and if this is going to be an improvement on that build, we're in for a real treat.
  11. This is gonna' be fun. Excellent concept, outstanding start.
  12. When we last came to a screeching halt, I was trying to figure out how to drill a 1/25th aluminum brake rotor for stud insertion. Thanx to Tim, I'll more than likely be getting an X Y Press Table soon, then I'll be back in business. Enjoy your holidays everyone and May The Force Be With Y'all.
  13. Big difference from where you started. Well worth the effort from what I see. Good job Nikko.
  14. I say "Go For It" Tom, but then again, I'm insane, sooooooo........
  15. Saw that at the GSL. Amazing artwork that you have to see in person.
  16. When I reunited with my daughter and the GrandBratz 6 years ago, for their first Christmas I got 3 snap kits. It took a Herculean effort, but I knocked them all out in a month. It's a joy making a one-of-a-kind gift for friends and family. They remember it forever. To heck with being a great modeler Art. You're a better human.
  17. I am going to start doing a "Build Book" for each model I do now, but they will be for competition purposes specifically. At the GSL, there must have been 40 books of models from start to finish. Not all judges know everything there is to know about your subject. If there is a build book for it, that could be the difference between you and your competition.
  18. To say I wasn't prepared to start metal work would be an understatement. However, I'm taking steps to remedy that. For starters, I got the bench assembled. It was $159.00 at Harbor Frieght. Lucky me, it goes on sale later this month for $139.00. The next step on the Nomad is the rear axle. The entire reason for getting the drill press is to do the studs in the hub of the rotor. Now I have to figure out how to clamp an item smaller than a dime to the table. I feel like I've brought a cannon to a derringer duel. I did get a drill press vise that will bolt to the table, now I need to figure out what to clamp in the vise to hold the rotor. Any recommendations? I saw an X / Y Axis clamp for the MicroLux Drill on MicroMark. Since it costs as much as the drill, is it the right way to go? John, Chris, Tim, Brad, anybody, feel free to chime in. As soon as I figure it out, I'll get back on it.
  19. You just returned the favor Brother J. I laffed hard enuff to warrant changing boxers when I saw the fork in it. Thanx Bro, I NEEDED that.
  20. I can see it tearing up the local competition. Very nice.
  21. Here's my favorite Charger. Wait, it this the "Show Off Your Old Builds" topic?
  22. I don't know about everybody else, but I just got my Christmas present. This is the first time I can remember you showing the process John. No more eggnog or fruitcake for me. My holiday is done. Now, go to a web Thesaurus, search the word "Beautiful", and apply all forms and variations.
  23. I never thought I'd have to quote myself Darryl, but you forced my hand. SERIOUSLY !!! Take the pictures !!!!!!!
  24. I only like everything about it Ray.
