Walt's Puffer Too T-Bucket Altered

Soon Dude, hopefully tomorrow. Stupid NHRA Finals. Going to be very sad to see Mike Dunn go from the broadcasts. Gotta say I'm not pleased with Fox's choice of Tony Pedregon. I hope you find some way to mount that pretty piece. -

That's looking really, really awesome Brad. I see elements in my front axle I'm using from yours. Speaking of which, I've made good progress on it today. A ton of little tweaks needed to be made to mount the wheels. I also have my axle length now and I'm headed for assembly after I fabricate some radius rod mounts. And now, back to your build. That's looking really, really awesome Brad. -
Incredible Dave !! Both the '37 and the wheel. Here's me wishing my first job at a tire shop didn't happen. I was going to the machine shop next door after I applied there, but got hired on the spot. You've got the skills man. No doubt.

Feel free to pull out all of the weirdness your model creating soul can handle. That's a great start Ray. -

I've always had my hobby room set up in rooms that were carpeted. Now I'm in a room with large tile. In the dozen plus drops I've had, (parts and junk and tons of aluminum tubing), I've only lost one 00-90 nut. Plus I mounted a fluorescent light under the desk that doubles as a night light. That's a huge help. I also apply to the train of thought that the new part is usually better than the one that booked a one way ticket to oblivion. -
Good thing a picture is worth a thousand words. Here's a few thousand about my opinion concerning whether I would pay a special handling charge to help insure a safe delivery of my beloved magazine. I'm on my way to HobbyTown to pick up a copy I won't be ashamed to add to my collection.

First off, Happy Birthday to the Missus. Even though she may never build them, I'm sure she appreciated every model you bought her. I'm liking everything about this stage of the build Buddy, as I soak in every step you take. Consider the possibility that in addition to your missing rivet, you may have some loose screws too. -

I don't normally correct people's spelling, but you may have received the Blah Blah because you missed the "s" in Scrap. Just a typo I'm sure Brad. Feel free to blame the keyboard. I love the stance too Pal. The best part is, it's adjustable depending on how the rear height ends up. But, that's adjustable too. -

Looks like progress to me. I got the wheels done except for the valve stems. I put them on a mock axle 'cuz I got tired of visualising what they would look like under there, so ........ Now that the wheels are done, I have the right offset so that I can see how long the axle should be. Hey Tim, this probably won't be the last time that the term "pile o' scrap" will be used as this build goes on. -

Tyrone, if it was a 1:1, not only would it belch fire and smoke, it would eat the competition alive. The height of excellence as per normal dude. -

Thanks for the reminder. I'm a clean freak and I always wipe down the interior with a dryer sheet before use. -
So glad that worked Brother Chris. Excellent job of getting those bends right.

Wow, somebody hit me with an extinguisher because, Baby, I'm on fire. Got the airbrush station 90% complete today. Came out exactly as envisioned. After I clean up the mess from flying plastic and sawdust, I'll hook up the vent and power tomorrow and I should be ready to start slingin' paint. I'm nowhere near that point yet, but I might shoot a spoon or five to check it out soon. -

They are from Micro Nitro Bob. He has a large assortment of wheels and 1/25 aluminum parts goodness. http://www.micronitro.net/ and Jim has a FaceBook page too. I'm pretty sure I remember it raining earlier this year, but I wouldn't trust my memory if I was you. Seriously considering a contract with a local roofing supplier if I'm going to keep up with the Metal Modeling Joneses. -
Outstanding build Joe. Great to see another Las Vegan here. Not to mention another Joe.

Here I am, late to the party as per normal. Looks like a great start Ray. Can't wait to see what pops up out of the hood.

Ray, you've got tons of talent. I've seen it with my own eyes. We all get humbled at what this Madman can knock out. No funny stuff going on there Tim. The thing about a detail like stops is, if they aren't there, you don't notice their absence. On the other tentacle, if they are there, not only do they get noticed, it brings your sanity into question one more time. Oh, and they look kewl. Win Win. -

I finally figured out the correct method to put spokes into my Micro Nitro 10 spoke wheels. It's been a couple days of trial and error, but I got one completed and the other is in progress. One thing that makes metal work slow going is all of the trial and error involved on working in a new medium. One thing that makes metal work tons of fun is discovering all of the neato stuff you can find to make it look better. For instance, I almost used brass tubing for the spokes until I found some blue anodized beading wire at Hobby Lobby. Perfect since it will compliment the NAPA colors and it's much easier to work with a soft medium that can be trimmed easily. Now I gotta' find some tires........... As an example of the design process, here's a pic of all of the templates and scrap I've generated just for the front spindles and the wheels. Tomorrow's project is more work on the airbrush station. Enjoy the pics. -

Thank you Everypeoples for hanging in here with me. The last couple of days I've noticed a renewed motivation. Here's hoping it holds out for a while. Out of nowhere, I totally squared away a lot of loose ends in the hobby room itself. Now I've started installing my airbrush station. It started with modifications to the fan unit by chopping off the useless flaps. Next I taped off the area on the table to be cut out, which I will do today. It's a down draft type that will vent out under the table, with a hose to exit my side door. I also hit up an LHS and got a ton of aluminum rod and tubing so I can get this front axle done. Here's a pic of the modified fan. Do you think I may have voided my warranty? -

I've given it a lot of thought Brad. Then it hit me. Either Arnold Schwarzeneger or Danny Devito. They're Twins, ya' know? So the only variable would be which one was available. I'll have the production company, probably Pixar, cover my Diva-like unreasonable requests. Takes the pressure off of the cast and crew. -
That turned out exactly as I hoped it would. Well done sir. Well done.

Next comes the book deal, then the movie. When they film the pivotal scene where I meet Brad at the Desert Scale Classic, I want the part of Nytrozilla to be played by Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. I'll also need a "consulting" credit and 4 bags of Dove Dark Chocolate Covered Cherries. I also have suggestions for the parts of John "Southside Johnny" Teresi and Chris "Mooneyz" Sobak.
