  1. I too ALWAYS cut the carrier film off....its easier to use, and looks way more realistic in the end.
  2. Hey, John!, where the heck did you get all the giant size tools from??!!!!….you're VERY brave to have them that close to a Ferrari!!!!!.....lmao...….Its looking so real!!
  3. Those look GREAT!!!!, but I fear, not for 1/24 scale...….1/20 scale+ looks FANTASTIC!!!....I will be using it on my 1/12 Countach!
  4. Those look pretty nice, but what do you do about the edges, and the back sides of the belts?, for me, the light catches the "uncolored" edges, and quite often in sports car interiors, you can actually see the backsides enough to need them to be colored both sides, not to mention the refracted ight from the shiny backside onto the rest of the interior. If you have a trick to that, i'd be interested in knowing!......unless its a closely guarded secret......lol
  5. I love your idea here!!…..I will DEFINITELY be following!!
  6. Same here, Kurt!, looks like I will have to start SB one myself, then maybe resin-cast it if anybody else wanted one.....I could build a million of these!!….its that fun of a kit!!!!
  7. I remember your build of this...…..I was at first, SHOCKED that you built it!...lol I thought you did a very nice job on it!!
  8. Thanks, Thomas!, It wont be long before I get to that Honeycomb grille, and yes, I think its Very odd/stupid that there isn't a PE part for that grill. The best PE set that I've seen...and have, is from Studio 27, but they not only lack that part, but they only give you ONE "Eye lash" headlamp base...….but you get the "lashes" for both!!?????....who does that???? I thought that maybe it was just loose in the package, or they forgot to put the other one in, but when I ordered my second set...…..it wasn't there either!!!! I still love their PE set though.....heres what it looks like.....
  9. OHHH, okay!...gotcha!!
  10. Its not really as bad as you'd think, I've already done it to my first Miura. Try it, if it doesn't work for you, I have a spare you can have! -You can see it here....
  11. Thank you, Lloyd!!, very much appreciated!!
  12. Got some more done: -Photo 1; In order to make the sail panel vents properly, I needed to cut out the corresponding "Triangular" shapes from the upper fender wells. -Photo 3; here you can see the "Triangular" shapes for the vents glued into place, waiting to be blended-in to the rest of the body. -Photo 4; after getting rid of the big ugly seam that ran straight through the side of the center column/ tranny tunnel, there was no more padding detail left. Here you can see I added new vertical padding lines... -Photo 5; You can see here that using a hot-knife to add wrinkles to the sides really finished it off....it didn't even have them before I started to sand this piece. -Photo 6; You can see the progression here of making the headrest look more realistic. Scribing it alone didn't do what I wanted, so I used the hot-knife again to go over everything, and to add a few realistic wrinkles at the top of the arch. A little more klean-up, and these will be ready for primer!
  13. Lol, whats that "you do you" mean?!
  14. Thanks, Geoff!!, i'm hoping so!!
  15. Thanks, Dennis!!, me either!!!, its gonna be one heck of a paint day!......I will be priming the Pagani body, and five other complete interiors that day!!!
  16. They are Beautiful cars, Kurt! My wife has the original Monogram DB4 kit, and even that is STILL a brilliant kit!
  17. LMAO!!!!…….Whatever.....lol
  18. Bummer, I was curious...lol. You will really like that Morgan kit!!….one of Tamiyas best I think, and it comes with some of THE most realistic molded wire wheels that you can find!!
  19. I've tried lots of different things for seatbelts, and I always go back to masking tape myself. It has a VERY subtle texture that simulates texture pretty good....unless you flood it with paint...lol Me personally, I cant stand most of the aftermarket "really woven" belts -they are sooooo out of scale its ridiculous!...haven't seen them all mind you, but I've seen quite a few, and they're not for me.
  20. Its looking VERY klean and professional!! As you stated recently, we do have ALOT in common, but I LOVE masking!...i'd rather do that than to brush paint...lol My least favorite part of modelling is the sanding stage!!…...especially tubular frames, and suspension parts....HATE it!!!!…...lol
  21. Thanks, Alex!, its a favorite of mine. I wish I could tell my friend that you like it, but he's not around anymore. Its not the photos, the flake IS out of scale for a "stock" version of this, or most cars. I will be using this kolor on my Pagani. As long as there is "real" automotive paint that has large flakes in it......and there IS, technically its NOT out of scale. I am not a purist by ANY means, and I VERY RARELY build anything replica stock. Modelling to me, is being given the chance to change the things that I don't like about a particular car. If we cant do that here, then whats the point? To me, you're the Ferrari Guy....LOVE your builds!! Me?, i'm the self-proclaimed Lamborghini Guy.....its pretty cool I think! You probably wont like my Ferrari builds very much, since I REFUSE to paint them red...lol, but each to their own. I have just as big a Ferrari stable as I do a Lamborghini stable. lol
  22. LOL, yes it is. I've had so many people ask about the paint/kolors, so one day I sat down to figure it out for them....
  23. Thanks, Justin!, this really is a beautiful kit...….how's your Ford GT going?
  24. First off, I wish you a seedy recovery!, secondly; I enjoy seeing your builds too!, and thirdly; What you said really does mean a lot to me, I just love helping people here!
  25. I don't build these myself, but I sure do like looking at them when they're as nice as this one is!!!!
