  1. The rear taillight panel was jammed in there, my friend didn't sand it enough to fit in properly, so even though I carefully scored around it with my Olfa, it took chunks of paint off. I carefully sanded it smooth, then put a good amount of super glue over to act as a glazing putty. After that, I kolored the area to be sanded , with a sharpie so that I can make sure its repaired properly. I used Tamiya panel line accent on all the vents, and just a hint on the leading edge of the head lamps.
  2. I just got done SB the last of the interior parts!!….the shoulder strap tie-downs, with adjustment levers, and the light between them...…..next step -PAINT!!!!

  6. N.Y. customs really screwed the pooch on mine...…..they've had mine for nearly two weeks now, and they said that they don't recall my tracking number....

  11. 1ordered my Aoshima Countach on Aug 2...…...still don't have it!! -two weeks later, I ordered two more kits from Japan...….got them in 7 days!!…..inquired about my Countach…..its SOMEWHERE in N.Y.!!!!….ordered still another kit from Hong Kong.....got that one in a week!!! I've learned that anything coming through freaking N.Y., isn't a good thing, but Chicago......no problems.
  12. ebay stores...….usually "free" shipping means; you will get it by carrier pigeon...
  13. no matter what me, or anybody else says though, its ALWAYS a good idea to test it out first!....cant tell you how many times 'trusted' formulas have changed.
  14. Welcome back, Alex!!, I've always admired your work!....sorry to hear about your situation. I hope you do get better. I struggle with issues that have almost made me get rid of everything as well. You did an EXCELLENT job on this build!!
  15. VERY NICE!!!....Harry would ask; 'Where are the mirrors'......lol
  16. I too think it looks great!!…….I actually DID bin my first one......tell me if these problems sound familiar; 1-windscreen doesn't have enough lip to glue to, 2-wiper doesn't really fit all that good under the bonnet, which makes the blade end stick-out away from the glass.....I had to VERY carefully glue mine down without fogging the windscreen.....NOT fun, and 3-the headlamp housings are a pain in the...……..to get to fit properly!!!
  17. I agree 100%!!!!......VERY hard to find kit wires that look as realistic as these!!…..Protar does them EXTREMELY well also!!
  18. not all lacquers are the same, I have successfully sprayed Duplicolor clear, and Tamiya clears over Krylon, which by the way, is waaaay better than Crapoleum -sprays like Duplicolor, and even though its enamel, its ALOT more durable!!
  19. Hey, Chris! For a Flat black, I use their Black Sandable Primer. For a semi-gloss black, I use their Universal Flat black, which ISNT flat...lol, and for a gloss black, I use their Universal Gloss Black. If for some reason I cant get ahold of these Duplicolors, I go with Tmiya sprays, and lets say you need a flat black, but you only have Duplicolors semi-gloss, and gloss blacks, I would pick one of them to spray first, and then use Tamiyas Flat Clear over it. You can do this with their semi, and gloss clears as well...
  20. That's right, at this point it, its worth a try....
  21. Hey, bud!, I looked up the instructions for your kit, and heres an idea for you that I came up with. If it were me, this is what i'd try.... you just need some thin clear sheet styrene.
