Well that sucks. Glad it was just the car damaged and that wifey is okay. I agree with the others, that is unfortunately a write off. Even without frame damage, there's enough body damage there, and the reality is, an older Civic just isn't valued highly. No matter how clean the car is/was.

I guess I have another I can add to this thread. I hated this build though. This is the MPC Country Charger. Turd of a kit. Wasn't happy with how things fit or lined up. Took a lot of work to get it this point. Maybe one day I'll go back and add some of the missing details. Painted it in colours similar to a Porsche I saw here, which was Chalk in colour with an Oxblood Red interior. The colours work, and I kind of want to rebuild this one using the Revell '68 as a starting point.

As Brian said, Isopropyl alcohol will work to clean resin parts. There's also a water washable resin, which is what I use, and it can be rinsed with warm water. After curing, I'll usually give it a rinse with warm water and dish soap, and a good scrub with a toothbrush. Seems to do the trick.

Excellent! And Guards Red is 100% the colour to have! I used to work for Porsche, and it would always blow people's minds when I told them I thought the Boxsters were more fun than the 911s. .

That yellow one is much different than the red one! The red one is full detail. Engine, interior, suspension, working steering, etc.

As far as I know, yes. I don't think any other company has done a 1/24 scale OBS truck. And it's completely different to the AMT kits. Independent rear suspension, Corvette engine and transmission, different grille setup, working steering, higher detail on interior pieces. It's a superior kit for sure.

Who owns the Testors molds though? That kit was 1/24 scale, and is very different than the AMT kits. I actually just acquired two more of these for the stash, for a total of three. And figured I'd start one, just because.

Had these show up in the mail yesterday. My fav trucks combined with one of my fav guitarists? Can't go wrong with that! One is still sealed, the other has been started and is missing a couple of things. But that's fine, as I have enough wheels and other spare parts to complete it. Now I have three of these in the OBS stash. And the guy I got these from, threw in the Joker Goon Car! As a fan of big 70s boats, I dig it!

I was $500 CDN, so yes, much cheaper in US funds. The size is a definite limitation, which is why I'll be upgrading sooner rather than later. The Mars 2 or 3 is perfect for wheels/tires, engines, seats, etc, but printing bodies is a weak point. It's typically not big enough for a full body, and multi-piece bodies need a LOT of work to assemble and smooth out. But for a 3D beginner, I still think it's super easy to be up and running as I described. If one wants to design or modify files though, computer skills would be required.

Andy's prints look super clean, and VERY well printed. His time and effort have a cost, and rightfully so. If you don't have a printer, I'd reach out to him for sure.

I have been searching for that for a long time! Currently, no one does a newer Ford Medium Duty. I sell a ton of these things here at work, and I want to build a replica of this one we did with a 4X4 conversion. Here it is parked next to my truck.

There are a few companies that offer printing services. These files are also available on cults3d.com and after purchasing files, they provided options for printing services instead of just downloading the files. If you want to take the plunge yourself, you can head on over to Amazon and get a full set up for under $500. I paid about $600 CDN for an Elegoo Mars 2 Pro, an Elegoo Mercury Wash & Cure station, plus a couple of bottles of resin, and a box of latex gloves. It's a little small to print larger car bodies though, so I'll be upgrading at some point soon. You do not need to be a computer expert to do this, unless you want to design your own parts. I just obtain files and print, and it's pretty simple. Check the 3D printing thread in the General section of this forum for a lot of info.
