  1. Yes, that is Sean Connery.
  2. Only have one so far. When I met my wife, she had a 1991 Chev C1500 Extended Cab.
  3. Okay, so if you've seen Issue 217 of MCM, then you've seen this build. But I figured I'd add a few more more pics, and a little more detail. So, because the topic as been beaten to death, yes, I had warped parts. Upon initial opeing, my hood and cab floor were pretty bad, so I reached out to Moebius. Someone named Erik responded in less than 24 hours. He first asked me to go back and double check the kit, make sure all other parts were good, as they had had issues with the ramp parts. The ramp itself was a little warped, but I didn't think it was too bad. Erik then came back, said the replacmeent parts are ion the mail. I had them a couple of weeks later. Excellent customer service. So I started the build, and I really, really like this kit. However, when I got to the ramp, the warping was much, much worse than I originally thought. The ramp base, and both sides were terrible. I thought this would end up being scrap. But I figured I need to try. Turns out, with a little CA glue and a lot of off colour language, a severely damaged kit can sometimes turn out pretty good. Is it 100% perfect? No, but it looks great to my eyes. Finished it up in a decent amount of time, and although I see a lot of places I can improve, I really like how this turned out.
  4. Hoping to find this in LHS here soon. I use a chrome spray from Duplicolor, which I've been happy with, but this looks like it lays down a little smoother.
  5. I have a few friends with remote cabins, and they have recently signed up for Starlink. No cell coverage, but they have high speed internet. A client of mine was in California over the Christmas break, and they chartered a fishing boat. Out in the ocean, but had high speed internet thanks to Starlink. Might be worth looking into. Glad your possible absence isn't as dire as that of others.
  6. Nice. I can see a few ideas forming for those wheels. And ZFMW's files are always nice to work with.
  7. Lots of 3D print options available. Why not take the older boards and do a little reshaping and scratch build new fins? Might be easier than finding scale modern boards.
  8. My next truck is in production as of today.
  9. Stunning work as usual!
  10. It's a crime that his contributions to wedding reception culture has gone virtually unnoticed. ?
  11. I like the colour choices! But then, I'm a little biased. I did a Kenworth Aerodyne in the same colour scheme, and have a Peterbilt half done, with the same scheme as well.
  12. The C4 is still the only Corvette I actually like. And it's one of the only ones my 6'6" frame actually fits in. Love it in red!
  13. He is the ONLY reason you've ever heard the Chicken Dance, or done it at a wedding or other event. ?
  14. And somehow everyone overlooks the passing of Stanley Mills. https://www.thedailybeast.com/stanley-mills-who-made-the-chicken-dance-a-craze-dies-at-91
  15. Turned out really nice! I like that no matter how many of these '60 Fleetsides get posted here, no one has the same take on the truck.
  16. Looks great! Although I love Ferraris (and pretty much everything else) in bright red, it is refreshing to see different colours. There's a Testarossa that shows up at local shows with a similar tri-colour interior. An acquired taste for sure!
  17. Some interesting stuff there for sure. 2CV van? Oh yeah.
  18. Not a big Corvette guy, but I'd pick one of these up.
  19. Did some detail painting on the underside of the chassis. Not going too nuts, because no one will ever see it. Then I flocked the floor, which turned out nice. The kit seats are a disappointment. I went through the stash and found a set of GTI bucket seats from Clearly Scale. Huge improvement. These are two piece seats, as the headrests are separate. Going to look so much better.
  20. It's $6 all you can eat pancakes this morning in our cafeteria here at work. ?
  21. I've only used the water washable. Mint green and Ceramic Grey poured together. I was hoping for a funky swirl, but it just mixed together and gave me differing shades of green.
  22. I used to get my Steeped Tea from Timmy's on the way to work. But I've since put a Keurig in my office. Sits on top of the minifridge. Now I usually get to work and brew a hot cup when I get in. And some days (like yesterday and today) I'll bring one with me too. And I'll have a couple during the day. Some people go nuts for coffee, I'm a tea guy.
  23. Decals are done! Details coming soon.
