Looks great! I always preferred this version, both movie and car, to the remake.

I'm not really irked by it, but it was flippin' cold this morning. This is before windchill is factored in. Luckily, the truck has a good heater, heated seats, heated steering wheel, and remote start.

Question: Chevy 4x4 IFS
iamsuperdan replied to edefrange's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I think that's what confused me. The box and built models clearly show the 6 bolt wheels, which in the previous generation truck signified 4WD. -

Really? ? I'm going to have to have a closer look at the one in my stash. Could have sworn it was! -
Question: Chevy 4x4 IFS
iamsuperdan replied to edefrange's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Revell did a 1999 Silverado 1500. Yes, it's the next gen truck, but the suspension/frame should work and be reasonably accurate. -
Was never a huge FM fan, but you can't deny the talent. She was arguably the best songwriter in that band.

Bought tickets for the newly announced Metallica tour! Not coming here until August 2024 though. 21 months. Anyway, they're doing what they call the "No Repeat Weekend." They play Friday and Sunday night in each city on the tour. Two different opening bands for each night and two completely different setlists for each night. So two Metallica concerts, 4 different opening bands. And I'm just as excited that one of the opening bands is the reformed Pantera. Going to be killer.

That's some beauty work there, eh. Looking forward to seeing what you do with some cars!

I have some decals that should be arriving soon. What I really like with this company, is that they've kept me in the loop about my order. The timeframe for arrival has been fully explained, and has been followed up with updates. That's how it should be.

Favorite Obscure or Discovered Music Album
iamsuperdan replied to afx's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
It's not really "discovered" per se, but this week Roger Waters released his new version of Comfortably Numb. And it's amazing. Yes, he's an ass. And yes, he removed what could be one of the greatest guitar solos that has ever existed, but dang this reworking is awesome. -

Beautifully done! -
A significant chunk of the music I listen to these days is instrumental. I listen to a couple of genres called post-metal and post-rock. I don't know what that means, but I know I like it. Some bands: Vy Pole There's a Light Baulta 417.3 Leech Planetariat Oceans Tacoma Narrows Bridge Disaster Russian Circles Here's an example:

I thought the car chase in Ronin was just as good as the one in Bullitt. Possibly more exciting. The Bourne movies had some great chases too. Italian Job...original Gone In 60 Seconds...6 Underground...Blues Brothers...

Trying to identify these built ups
iamsuperdan replied to Jonathan's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
The Porsche is most certainly a Fujimi kit, but the wheels aren't. Most likely a version of this... I'll take it off your hands if you wish. Trade or whatever. -
Foose FD100 wheel alternatives?
iamsuperdan replied to Jantrix's topic in Truck Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
What's the inside diameter of the tire? Once you know that, pick a wheel design you like and re-size it to fit. Can literally take any wheel file out there and re-size it to fit. Shoot me a message, would be happy to print a set for you.- 1 reply

This could almost be an entirely new thread for us musicians! What songs did/do your bands cover? -
The Walking Dead Series Finale Tonight
iamsuperdan replied to Snake45's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
TWD was one of the only comics I ever really got into, so when the show was announced, I got really excited. Watched it religiously, up until about season 8 or so. I found it was getting to repetitive, and the storylines just weren't interesting anymore. I stopped watching around the time Negan got locked up. I've thought about re-watching it, but then I just don't. -
What's interesting is that this is not a remake per se. It's a new story featuring the character of Frank Bullitt. Again, this seems weird to me. Was he really that interesting a character? Does Frank really need another movie?

1947 Chevy electric truck for sale.

Cue the anger in 3...2...1... ? -
I don't know how I feel about this. On the one hand, Bullitt is an awesome classic and should not be touched. On the other hand, if it weren't for the car chase, no one would remember the movie because the story was weak, the acting was flat, and overall its bad. Yes, I said it. It's a bad movie and McQueen was not good in it Plus, Spielberg does great work and I like Bradley Cooper. Especially when he's a racoon. I guess overall, I'm interested to see how it turns out.
