  1. His files are excellent. I've downloaded and printed a couple of things and was super happy with the results.
  2. You can add Clearly Scale to the list.
  3. Believe it or not, people think they are cleverly hiding their political thoughts and musings by placing them in this thread, thinking that they've found a loophole around the "no politics" rule.
  4. Totally get it. There are a few guys selling prints of readily available files, IceMan and TSMC come to mind, but I know a lot of designers aren't into that. Still, there are enough out there that do sell files. The way I look at it, printing myself makes way more sense when I factor in the parts AND the shipping AND the exchange. A $5 file becomes a $40 part.
  5. The Fujimi 928GT builds up nicely. It's curbside, but it looks good. The Tamiya 928S is nice as well, but is in 1/20 scale.
  6. That box of eggs only has 10 eggs. Serious question...is that a US thing? I've only ever seen eggs in boxes of 12 or 18.
  7. Based in Canada? That makes me happy. Finally, some reasonable shipping costs.
  8. I'd be interested in files being made available for purchase on Cults or whatever so I can print my own.
  9. Alan Cross is a very well known music journalist here in Canada. He had a good article this morning. https://www.ajournalofmusicalthings.com/rip-guitar-legend-jeff-beck-taken-by-meningitis-at-age-78-was-he-the-greatest-guitar-hero-of-all-time/
  10. I'm actually a little concerned about the stashes. How many of you have had the discussion with your spouse or loved ones? What happens to the stash when you're gone? Wifey and the kids don't have any interest in models whatsoever. So when I go, do I want to leave her a stash of 200 + kits to deal with? Does she bother trying to sell them? Probably not. Probably just donates them somewhere. I doubt they would get tossed. I don't think I'm going any time soon, I'm not even 50 yet. But part of me has thought about seriously downsizing.
  11. Les, I think I want just about everything in your second pic! lolz Anyway, I have probably 150 or so kits Possibly more. It's been a while since I did a proper inventory. I know what's there, just haven't done the math.
  12. Thinking about it... It seems expensive, but then I look at what I just paid for a couple of Molotow Chrome pens. ? Going price for Chrome finish, I guess. And a can should last quite a while, as it's only painting wheels, trim, bumpers, etc. It's not like I'd be doing an entire body or anything.
  13. This was my introduction to Jeff Beck. And my dad saw me digging it, and he busted out a pile of records. Jeff beck solo, Yardbirds, Rod Stewart. All kinds of stuff. His work with Roger waters was pretty awesome too.
  14. Stunned. One of my favs from that era.
  15. Wait...$35US for a 150mL spray can?! Yikes!
  16. I plan to finish kits before starting new ones. I plan to not buy as many kits this year. And I'm pretty confident I will fail in both cases. ?
  17. I wish all of those were in 1/24! I think I'll still try and find a Bond Bug. Very cool. Notice they have a 1/24 Junkers. Would be a cool counterpart for my Spitfire.
  18. As an aside, your GT40 wheels are fantastic! I downloaded the file, and printed a set. Beauty. My first attempt were too small, so I'll need to size them up a little, but they look awesome. Thanks!
  19. It's weird. Every now and then I'll get a print fail, but it will be with a file I've printed before with zero issues. And then I go to reprint, and it's totally fine again.
  20. I'll have to try a little warm/hot water, see if that helps. I never remove the parts from the supports until after curing. And a few times I've left everything on the build plate to cure. With the same results. I haven't heard that about the water washable resin. That's all I've used. Might have to grab a jug of IPA and try the standard resin, see if that makes a difference.
  21. Yeah, he's been discussed here before. His builds are amazing.
  22. So here's a question. Sometimes when printing bodies, especially multi-piece bodies, the parts print perfectly, and then after washing and curing, they start to change shape slightly. The edges will twist out, and flat panels will develop a curve. What's the best way to stop this from happening?
  23. His stuff is so good. He's just been consistently awesome. I like the new song. Hoping he comes to my neck of the woods on the new tour.
  24. Here's his link! https://cults3d.com/en/users/ScottSolomon/creations
  25. Thanks Scott! Made sure to give you a follow. Those Super Singles look pretty good.
