  1. Looks great! Has kind of an Eddie Bauer Bronco vibe to it.
  2. The wording is why this is awesome though. You know, the fact that 10mm sockets disappear all the time. Ask any mechanic about the missing 10mm socket. They'll know.
  3. I would, but we can't upload Word docs here. I just go into Word and add like a dozen images of the same plate, all in different sizes. I print a page, and eyeball the "correct" plate. THen I make a note and save the file. Now when I make a new plate, I can just cut/paste into the file, shrink the image to match my "correct" plate. Then print.
  4. 100%. Just like with real cars & trucks at shows. I can see a build and have the utmost respect for the talent and skills of the builder, but completely dislike the subject matter.
  5. Yup. I use the ends from new strings, and save my old strings. Sometimes, the string will even have the wound part, which does a fairly accurate representation of the springs found on antennas on older cars.
  6. When I'm making plates, I usually just paste my saved image into a word doc. Resize as necessary and print onto semi-gloss photo paper. Took a bit of trial and error to get the sizing right, but now that I've done that, I haver a template saved. I use https://www.acme.com/licensemaker/ I find the fonts used are more accurate than some of the other plate makers out there.
  7. Not on the road, but saw this in the Royal Alberta Museum in the Human History exhibit. The whole exhibit is about Alberta's growth. I guess this represents farm life and prosperity or something. Whatever the case, a nicely preserved truck. Says it has been restored, but it's not an over the top, show quality restoration. I like hearing about the stories behind vehicles too.
  8. I'm at work. Usually try to poke my head in at various times throughout the day.
  9. Very cool! I don't think I've ever seen a build of one of these that wasn't Max's car!
  10. Would definitely make for a fun day! I plan on taking my kids to a track experience event once they turn 18. The boy will be this summer, daughter is still 4 years away though. There's a good one at Area 27 in BC. Or possibly the Radford Racing School in AZ.
  11. It's an old one, but I grabbed the CD on a whim and was listening this morning. Andy Timmons is probably best known for being the guitarist in the hair band, Danger Danger, but he is a heck of a talented player.
  12. Extreme. From the Freddie Mercury Tribute concert in 1992. Just an awesome performance.
  13. Was stunned when I saw the news last night. Only 50. Had his demons in the past, but seemed to have cleaned him self up over the last decade or so. Seemed like such a genuine and normal guy. https://www.ajournalofmusicalthings.com/taylor-hawkins-foo-fighters-drummer-has-died-at-age-50/
  14. It was. Biden is in Brussels today. His trip is all over the news. And judging by the comments in the thread, everyone else seemed to know who it was about.
  15. That's him! That's where I got mine from. He was able to cast and send me a couple. The crispness of the casting is excellent for sure, but when unpainted, some of the details seem off. They look great on your build though, so maybe I just need to get some paint on them.
  16. Bingo! Seriously? So by not allowing discussion of two subjects that ALWAYS lead to arguments and fights; by trying to keep things civil, you think we are turning into a totalitarian regime? This thread just proves that even the very idea of politics gets people fired up and argumentative. I'm starting to think this isn't the right place for some of you. I'm sure there are other model building boards that would be much more welcoming and open to heated political debate. Perhaps you should investigate.
  17. I'm sorry Joe, are you new here? Without fail, every single thread that discusses EVs, or kit prices, or car parts, or policy or whatever devolves into politics. Inevitably, there will be one or two individuals who cannot stop themselves from railing against China or US policymakers or any number of other things that are off limits. It happens. Every. Time. How many times must it be said? No politics. No religion. There are literally hundreds if not thousands of other forums and boards one can go to do discuss those things. The entire point of this board is to get away from that stuff and discuss building models. We're here because of the "dumbed down floof."
  18. Bill, you are too smart be playing dumb like this. It was very obviously about Biden making a trip to Brussels.
  19. Dang. That looks awesome!
  20. Discussing government policy, whether fact or fiction, is "forbidden ground." There are plenty of forums out there where people can get into discussions about government, politicians, policy, etc. Since day one, THIS board has NOT been the place. Discussing EVs is totally fine, but when it crosses the line into politics and procedures, that is the end of the line. Head on over to Motor1.com or Insideevs.com and you can debate policy, name names, and discuss all manner of government as it pertains to the automotive world.
  21. Excellent work! Makes me want to crack open my 1/24 version.
