  1. It's a great movie for sure.
  2. It cost $172 CDN to fill my truck on Monday. Currently at $1.66/L here. If my math is right, that's $4.89US/gal.
  3. No big plan here. I always have a few builds on the go at one time. When I actually manage to finish a kit or two and clear some room in my work area, I'll have a look at the stash and think about what I want to build next. I try not to have too many on the go at once.
  4. Personally, I would look for the largest print area I could get. I've been using a Mars 2 Pro for a few months now, and I love it. But a bigger print size would be great. As it is, to print bodies, I can do a truck body on an angle, but car bodies have to be almost vertical, and even then, the longer bodies won't fit. Print quality on the Mars 2 Pro has been excellent. Definitely enough detail for my needs. I've been using water washable resin, as I didn't want to have to keep buying IPA, and then have to dispose of IPA.
  5. Bendpak's website has some detailed drawings that include dimensions. https://www.bendpak.com/car-lifts/two-post-lifts/xpr-10s/ Google searching will get you a ton of high res images to work with as well. I had started thinking about this, but then AMT came out with their garage set. After looking at the cost of styrene, and my time, I just went and bought that instead.
  6. The Mustang GT4 is not a fully carbon fibre bodied car. It has a steel unibody, but the doors, trunk lid, roof, hood, rear wing, front splitter, and under tray are carbon fibre. I would assume the front fenders are too, but I could be wrong.
  7. Nice! Do you know what brand the kit is? My son and I have built a few from Pitbull Guitars out of Australia. So far, a Jazz Bass, an Explorer 5-string bass, and a 7-string Explorer for me.
  8. Nice work! Are you selling your files on Cults or any other sites?

    MGB-GT

Looks really good. And I think your paint finish adds to the realism. I don't recall ever seeing these with super glossy finishes.
  10. None of ours will either. My daily is too new, so not obsolete...yet. Wifey's Volvo is a 2006, and doesn't have connectivity at all. Well, except for the nav system I guess, but it's an old Navtech based system that requires DVDs. And we haven't updated the maps since using our 1 free update...in 2007. The 99 Tahoe is of course too old to be affected.
  11. Still a great looking rendering/concept. But this article is 5 years old.
  12. Meh, technology becoming outdated is nothing new. Things progress, and sometimes the old things can't keep up.
  13. Hwy 3A from Creston, BC to Kootenay Bay, BC. Then take the ferry to Balfour, then continue on Hwy 3A to Nelson, BC. Beautiful scenery, smooth roads, not a lot of traffic, not a lot of residences. Hwy 4, the Pacific Rim Highway on Vancouver Island, BC. Takes you from Port Alberni to Ucluelet. again, gorgeous scenery, smooth road, and not a lot of traffic...depending on the time of day you roll through. ANd very sparse population along this route.
  14. The was a company I used to use for building service bodies. Had two of these trucks catch fire thanks to the build quality. Two extra batteries in the back and a metal shelf above the batteries that wasn't secured. Hit a bump, shelf falls off and lands on the batteries, connecting the poles. Fire ensues. So two customers with $150k service trucks gone. Plus all the equipment inside the trucks. So mystery fires can happen. As Steve said above though, ICE fires are easier to deal with than EV fires.
  15. Very interesting. I've been eyeballing some bodies on that site. Good to know what I can expect in terms of quality and printability.
  16. I don't really read car mags anymore. And I'm not an internet surfer or a facebook guy. Too much nonsense, too many arguments over everything and nothing, so I kind of quit the internet. A few years ago, I was on many forums. Now I'm on this one, and that's it. Instagram is really the only social media I use and has been a great source for images of vehicles and colour combos I like. Have borrowed a lot of great ideas there. Not just from vehicles. Guitars are a great source of inspiration for colour combos. Plus, just what I see every day. If a vehicle grabs my attention I'll take a pic or make a mental note of something. And I just know what I like. I'll look at a kit and just think about what I want to see.
  17. Really no different than any of the hundreds of other things that could go wrong in the night and start a fire while you sleep.
  18. There's been a few built and posted here. I finished one a couple of years ago. Bill's will be better! Some of the Canepa-specific parts are a little fiddly. The side moldings in particular. I suppose I could have done some fabbing to make more supportive mounts. Glad I'm not the only one! Hood opens maybe a quarter of the amount it should.
  19. Seriously? $3k?! I suppose it's cheaper than a real one.
  20. Saw this old Pontiac parked next to the local bottle depot. Needs work, but could be very cool. Will see if it moves come spring. Assuming it's a 1965.
  21. Lit are such a great band. They were huge in 2000, the year we got married. Listened to this CD a lot on our honeymoon roadtrip. Have never had the chance to see them live, as they've never played anywhere near here.
  22. The AMT Fruehauf 40ft trailer. I have a couple of the Coke ones. Will just need to make a couple of Elsinore Beer decals for the sides.
  23. Could put so many things down here. A few of the top of my head. Anything from Danko Jones. Big Sugar - Digging a Hole. And pretty much all of their albums! Lit - My Own Worst Enemy Fear Factory - Shock Sepultura - Roots My wife would disagree with many of these, so there's a big difference between me roadtripping solo, and when we all go for a trip!
