  1. I have a unbuilt 65 kit and it has a convertible top and that is what I was wanting but the 66 top will do until I find one.
  2. Did Monogram make anything with a Y block,I think my latest 34 Ford coupe needs one.
  3. It looks like the top is not correct for this year but I like it,I was hoping to find a convertible top but the hard top will work.
  4. I do have a couple of the 90s versions chopped tops.
  5. This will be my fourth one in the last couple months, since it's mostly used parts it will have primered parts for a beater hotrod.
  6. I have almost enough parts to build another and since this one has been glued together it's a little rough so time for primer spot hotrod. This one will be mostly built with vintage parts.
  7. This came from.a thrift store missing parts and had some incorrect parts too,I had to get correct hubcaps as it had Pontiac 8 lugs and was missing the top, radiator and had a incorrect engine. Left the paint alone and just done some detailing.
  8. It's apart and must of been in a damp area since I had a hard time getting the screws out and were rusty.
  9. Probably just use the whole 65 engine but are the optional Buick engine in the 40 Ford kits similarly made. I noticed all the Ford FE engines of that era were similar except the trans.
  10. I do not have the parts to fix it but have them on the way,I have a complete unbuilt 65 engine on the way that should have the parts I need.
  11. This was with that bunch of parts I picked up early last year and is going to get restored, going to remove the side pipes and repaint and the chassis is definitely going to be painted. It has a incomplete engine and have one coming and might see if I can get a nicer set of bumpers. I am also going to see if I can find some stock wheel covers or ralley wheels.
  12. I was told they were a pain to build so I am going to get the later version and build it,the guy at the hobby shop said he never seen anyone build that version.
  13. I have a old Revell 56 I started on last night but after looking at the trim that goes down the side I doubt I can get them off the trees without destroying them so did GM ever make one with no side trim.
  14. If it did not have that decal I wanted to save I would have painted it and done a better job of painting the trim,it was originally put together by a teenager back in the 60s.
  15. That will be the color.
  16. Tires and hubcaps arrived today so almost done,I have a top coming and will have to repaint it.
  17. This is one of the bodies in that batch of parts I got earlier this year,it has been built with mostly vintage parts except for the Atlantis/Revell Caddy engine. Since it had that decal on the trunk I left the body alone and just painted the chassis and interior.
  18. Almost finished, just waiting on paint on the engine to dry then it will be done.
  19. I ended up making that 4 carb intake into one for a single 4 bbl.
  20. I do have around 30 built 40s from all manufacturers.
  21. I am going to use the Revell engine with the AMT 3 carb intake on this build, might look for a stock looking air cleaner that will cover all the carbs.
  22. This is my fourth one in the last couple months.
  23. I think the one I have is from the 59 kit as its slightly larger then the Revell.
  24. I found one that I think is the optional engine from the 59 Elcamino that has stock valve covers so at least I will have those.
  25. I am putting the Alantis/Revell Caddy engine in a AMT 40 Ford and would like to make it stock and like it was just plucked from the junkyard so are there any kits out there with a stock 50s Caddy engines. The AMT threw carb intake fits so this one will most likely be put together with it and aluminum valve covers but would like to build a stock looking engine in the future.
