  1. Well, it seems to have worked with 63 Nova Wagon.
  2. Not so much the love of money as the love of power and control.
  3. The cabriolet parts would be in the Coupe tool. Wasn't that SSP issue somewhere around 1995?
  4. You were fairly close. Anthony Hazelaar http://www.drivehq.com/file/df.aspx/publish/tonhazelaar/wwwhome/34-towtruck.html
  5. I fully agree. I don't think anyone has ever matched Jim Keeler's level of detail and scale fidelity. Never mind the ejector pins. If I need plating I always have my trusty Molotow markers.
  6. I'd love to see some of that Heller stuff come back. Like the Matra / Brabham F1 set.
  7. Well now they're working. Maybe my work server has imgbb blocked. Wicked cool phaeton.
  8. Way cool. I wish Round 2 would either find the tool, or otherwise recreate Hot Curl. https://surfsimply.com/surf-culture/the-legend-of-hot-curl/ https://www.lajollalight.com/lifestyle/outdoors/sd-cm-ljl-hot-curl-20190425-htmlstory.html
  9. Back in the day, those cars were considered ugly ducklings, but you turned it into a beautiful swan. So I have to ask, what did you paint it with? The color looks familiar.
  10. Hey Bernard, looks like your photo links are all broken. The build sounds awesome. Any chance you could repair the links? I'd love to see it. I know one of the admins (Dave Ambrose) can give you editing abilities, because I fixed some broken links on some of my old posts.
  11. These look great! I actually built a 64 Galaxie in the same color about 30 years ago. Only difference was mine had a white roof, and a black interior. I cut the front seats out and spent a long tedious time adding very thinly trimmed Bare Metal foil to the seats for piping. Got in a fix about 15 years ago and sold it on ebay. Love the Revell Lancer, the 57 looks stellar, and the Nova is just plain bitchin.
  12. Any word on a release date?
  13. Those were available into the 1990s. I used some of those when I was building box art models for AMT/Ertl from 1990 to 1995, and buying them at WalMart. Never hurts to revive an old thread, right?
  14. I think they were also using ABS plastic for promos.
  15. That isn't styrene, as what you have here is a promo model. The kit version has an opening hood, and is molded in styrene.
  16. I haven't built the MPC kit, but if it's anything like the AMT kits, the windshield frame mounts from the inside, and is sandwiched between the cowl and the windshield glass. The squarish frame is for the phaeton, and the shorter grill shell is a custom 29 Model A shell; a curious option that's been around pretty much the entire lifespan of that kit.
  17. Sonofagun that's cool!
  18. Man, that is lovely... What paint is that on there?
  19. Cool box art, does this one have 4WD front axle?
  20. My first Box Art model for AMT! (My first build for them was a 49 Ford that was used in The Blueprinter photos and for trade shows, but didn't end up on the box) My second two were the stock and custom versions of the D50 Pickup. The custom truck on the cover was painted with Florescent Pink paint with a clear coat. (Hey, it was the Boyd Coddington era!) That thing was like electric bubble gum in person. The custom turbo engine, though finicky to build, looked pretty cool. Unfortunately, the colors don't show up very well in the photo. Too bad I didn't have a decent camera back then! This is also a small copy. I'll have to dig this photo up and rescan it.
  21. That's correct. All you have to do is level things out by cutting out the rumble seat floor.
  22. I would think the current batch would be made using the same compound as their current tires.
  23. Tim, I perused your album, and I would suggest others do as well, paying particular attention to the black tape mock-up. Tim's measurements speak for themselves. The only issue beyond that which jumps out at me are the headlamps. But I have a feeling the grille/bumper assembly from the AMT Rat Packer would fix that. And the Rat Packer isn't half the kit the new Moebuis kit is. The detail on this kit is amazing. Thanks for your efforts and patience Tim.
  24. You know what's even worse? Those Rally GTs Ertl used to put in all their street rod kits. They looked more like off road tires.
  25. Milner Coupe was a 32 though...
