  1. Hey Guys I've joined a build on Instagram to build a SEMA worthy show car, & what better choice than someone who presents at SEMA every year than Foose! Chip Foose's artwork on the box of the Revell kit is spectacular, sadly the kit doesn't quite live up to the box art! So I wanted to do it justice. I'll be adding C1 Models Trufiber widebody transkit + some scratchbuilding & other Mods, I've also purchased a Maisto 1/24 Z06 (Revell is 1/25) for some of its Z06 parts, seeing as Revell wont do the Z06. First up was stripping the paint, I thought the body was black & painted silver, turned out I was wrong, the black paint came off easy az, the Silver is actually painted but isnt budging so will paint over it. C1 Models Fender Flares - need a few bubbles popped & filled. The Wheels - The Foose specific wheels are awesome, they look great on his GT40!!! But I wanted a bit of dish for the widebody kit. So I used Tuner Model 20" wheel rims. Lots of sanding & cutting was required, & this is how I did most of it! Wasnt a huge fan of the hood, needed to be higher so modified that too. The Maisto Z06 5mins later, it was in lots of pieces! I'm working on getting the Z06 parts mounted to the Revell body. Stay Tuned! Ash
  2. Thats BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH Cool! Great Work!! @Jantrix - www.eightyone81.com - for the wheels
  3. Great Choice!!! I started looking for one of those at first but came up with nothing, was gonna use Scale Productions widebody kit for it too. I havent made much progress yet, just trimming out a few parts here & there. I did take some homework on my holiday though! (sorry for landscape image) But I have decided it'll look something like this, no real sponsor decals though. Ash
  4. For some reason the forum doesnt like portrait images, convert them to landscape & they'll upload. Like what your working on, I did the same many years ago, added lights to my build. Cant wait for your next update!
  5. Great rebuild, I bet he was stoked!
  6. Im IN! This will be my build, Nissan Skyline 2000 GTR 1971. This is a great kit by tamiya, comes with period correct "tuner" modifications like wheels & webber carbs etc. Might paint it up like a classic race car too. I'll take #19
  7. Great Work! Looks Perfect in grey! I'm considering getting C1 models resin Cayman R & your model is making me want it even more!
  8. Heres Mine. Aoshima Rasty S13 Silvia with engine & engine bay from Tamiya R32 GTR, Hobby Design turbos, C1 Wheels, Fugu Garage Silvia striped Interior set + ducktail spoiler, plus lots of scratchbuilding.
  9. Cheers Fellas! Well managed to get some bench time & smashed it out! Fought me all the way though. Despite being very careful with my scratchbuilding, always checking & test fitting everything. Body didn't want to sit flat with the chassis so some "remedial work" had to be undertaken. Here's some completed pics, just need to get some stickers on the glass cut. I'm off to Fiji for a relaxing break away from the model bench & when I return i'll get stuck into the P2P racer. Stay Tuned!
  10. Awesome! Better get stuck into finishing this years one first! Here's where I'm at as of last night, Body is done, just needs detailing with lights windows etc, engine's done & interior is mostly complete. Almost ready to roll! I'm off to Fiji for a week from 1 Nov so hope to have it done by then!
  11. Great work, Cant wait to see this one come together!
  12. Been making some good progress lately. The turbo position was difficult, they keep getting knocked off, then weren't on the right angle / symmetrical / height etc, but I'm pretty happy with them now. Once I had them in the right position I could then finish the piping, made them up, painted them, Molotov chrome pen & then a healthy coat of clear brown. these parts didn't need to be perfect as they were mostly buried deep in the engine bay. Once the piping was done then everything else could be added, Got the exhaust mounted too, now on to the cockpit! Other progress made was wet sanding the body to get it nice & level & then its been clearcoat with Alclads Matte clear coat. I'll get some better pics of the body tonight. For next year I havnt been able to stop thinking about what i want to do ( Thanks Jantrix) but now I've pretty much made a decision, now just need to look at sourcing what I need. I think its a really cool idea! "Cannonball Abroad - Pekang to Paris" could be a good title...

    Ferrari P4

STUNNING!!!! WOW, Great work! Hard to tell in pics but is this the 1:12 scale version?
  14. I like the idea, could be a great challenge.
  15. I like the idea of last years runner up to the inline theme, Vans, but id want to extend that to Utes, pickups, trucks, wagons, shooting brakes etc. Theyve done the sleeper theme before with some awesome outcomes
  16. Great work on all that masking! You've made a beautiful porsche!
