  1. You'll need a clearcoat too.
  2. Thanks Obssesive! I've been working on the 1/12 '57 CHevy as a lead sled and wanted to completely remove the trim, so I glued it in place and ground it down with a dremel leaving a bunch of craters in the plastic around the trim derpressions and tried puttying the '53 Ford years ago with disaterous results. I'm debating about completely removing the side spear or just the upper half that's i line with the hump I asked about. I was actually wondering about filling it with evergreen or Plastruct that's a wee bit thicker and smoothing that down instead.
  3. Good god that looks like it'll be one hell of a job on that '58 what would you guys recommend for filling the depressions in the shell for the chrome trim, especially where the quarter panel humps are on the '55?
  4. We just got a couple in at work and I'm thinking about buying one of them to kustomize, is the chrome trim separate from the body like the 1/12 '57 Chevy and Lindberg '53 Ford?
  5. X2 Stoga...err...Phil!
  6. Neat concept!
  7. Kinda looks like their 1/25 Snapper! Good Job
  8. Nice builds, I'm looking forward to seeing them tomorrow! Isn't that fire engine the same type as the one from Radiator Springs in Cars?
  9. From what I understand, it's relabeled Createx airbrush paint (literally just a different label and name for said color!) that is bumped in price a bit. It will can be airbrused without thinning but it will be a dull finish so you will have to clear it with a good acrilic safe clear and the stuff will be lifted by alchohal based cleaners so beware!
  10. Do they ever ad a flapper to those stacks for keeping the rain out?
  11. I found them! http://www.missileballoon.com/ I can just see these causing a wreck, mass emergency calls from motorists (kinda like the ATHF thing last winter, only on wheels), or getting ticketed for "disterbing the peace".
  12. Can you see some guy going 100 mph with these balloons trailing about 50 yards behind him? Step 1. Tie balloons to car. Step 2. Drive like a bat out of hell.... Step 3. Watch people freak out !!!! I want one.....baaaaaaaaad!!
  13. #1. Work...might as well since I'm already at the LHS #2. Hobby Lobby, if they have a sale going ot have a kit I really, really need (not likely there....... ) #3. Other LHS's if they have something I'm interested and don't already have (that part keeps getting harder ) #4. Meijer Stores, same applies here as above. #5. Wal-Mart, but they don't have squat anymore.........
  14. Really, then you guys did a great job in paint coverage too!
  15. But it has a Weber Carbed SBC under the hood too One thing I did that I'm still proud of is that the passenger side bubble window wasn't used during the build, I used a 1" or so square piece of the plastic bag the parts came in and CA'd it to the inside of the body so it looked like it had been broken out! That model was built from a kit that's older than me too! IIRC it as a '74 issue called the "Candy Van" (but is still the same as the A-Team Van too)

    41 Woody

That is a very nice looking color on that car!
  17. Here's an update and here's the link to the rest of the pics http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v698/bjo...rg%2040%20Ford/
  18. Wow, nice paint! I thought that was the plain blue plastic at first!
  19. Sofar, it's been shaved, sectioned, slightly channeled, and just chopped with the a pillars leaned back in this lousy photo. I''m just getting under way so who knows what'll happen here......
  20. We've had an adapter track at work from one of the slot car distributers that is made to fit on a Tyco (but will fit newer Mattel) track that has a HO scale road grade crossing going through it.
  21. Very cool!
  22. The second spoiler pics look much better!
  23. Those would make a few good 1:1 Warpigs............
  24. Very nice!
  25. Neat!
