Was probably made at the same time mine was then, I bought this one at the Wilson’s at the Fox Valley Mall in early ‘96! I just used some store brand saddle soap from Farm and Fleet and soft cloths from Dollar Tree that I bought Saturday. I also got to thinking about this too, I was 19 years old when I bought it in 1996, just 6 months after I graduated from high school………this coat is now 9 years older than I was when I bought it!

Dug out and cleaned up my leather coat that I probably haven’t worn in 15 years, hadn’t been able to wear it in 10 years if I wanted to and recently found it fits again too. Think if came back pretty good after a couple hours working saddle soap into it and it smells like leather again too!

Saw that a a few hours ago, never knew he had an instrumental that was sampled by Dr. Dre until a few months ago too.

Had a minor incident while out crawling with friends last night……… Then my friend thought he would be ? IMG_7137.mov

I still think there needs to be the option of the opening solo then the VanHalen brothers from Hot for Teacher, even if it’s just for the up to 30/35mph regulation!

More like big business, probably runs the credit card reader and tells the vending company what product they need to send the next time they’re out to refill the machine……with a side of selling the purchase info if a credit/debit card is used……but I used cash, sooooo……

Went to the dealership today since my 200 needed an oil change and figured I would grab a snack from one of their new vending machines, saw what looked like an intake or exhaust valve that had been painted black and red on top of it and first thought somebody had done that as decoration……… then I got closer and realized it was an antenna for the WiFi connection on the machine???

Ran to McDonald’s for lunch and walked out to find nowhere near enough room to open my door and get in to leave. Luckily, Dad keeps a cane in my car so I used that to push the brake pedal down from the passenger seat and pop it into neutral then coasted the car backwards enough that I could open my door and not hit that van.

If R/Cs can count, had to replace the middle of my Traxxas Stampede today, drilled a curb racing with friends Friday night and drilled a curb so hard that battery came unplugged from the impact! Here’s the damage….. amazingly, this wasn’t broken, which is good since I don’t have a spare like I did with the chassis! Finally, here it is put back together!

Which also had Henry Rollins in the movie too!

I’m thinking getting it back into temporary service until they get the materials assembled to repair it more “permanently” is the idea there. -
Was that something Virgil Exner designed for Hawk?

Just picked up another one of these today the shop also had an OBS Chevy truck, but couldn’t justify spending early as much on that when it is just a curbside compared to this kit.

At least there wasn’t a fireball involved!

This may not have worked here, but I ran across this a few years back and thought it was clever for dealing with the paparazzi. https://techcrunch.com/2016/06/29/now-you-see-me-now-you-dont/amp/ Then there is this, very basic and probably cheap, but also clever. https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/strategy-celebrities-use-trick-paparazzi.html/

Thanks!

Yeah, I still should drop at least 1 clinically normal adult human, but one small adult human is a great start!

Ended up taking a sick day and going to the urgent care today due to at least allergies and maybe a sinus infection that just got too bad and had to get on a scale to get weighed as part of taking vitals. Turns out I’m down 103lbs from my heaviest………guess I’ve managed to lose the equivalent of a small adult!

Thanks, it’s amazing how different it looks by primarily swapping a different set of rolling stock and trimming and painting the same body differently! It’m kinda looking around for some R/C Dirt Track tires next, just out of curiosity. Proline Racing and Custom Works both make 1/10 Buggy sized tires that are diagonal cut and if I were to get a set of 4 rears wit the right wheels (which is difficult, it appears) might also look pretty nasty on this, and in the best way possible ?

Here’s the latest R/C “build” of mine, took one of the Traxxas Factory Five Hot Rod RTRs the were selling at 2 for $300 took it from a cruise night pocketbook build looking car to a full on, fresh out of a shed brawler! Here’s what I started with, straight out of the box with the flashy paint and rolling stock, plus a decent but not Hot Rod worthy 12 turn brushed motor and brushed only speed control that won’t take more than 8.4v, kinda like dressing up a long block SBC for an 80’s to 90’s truck to look pretty and make noise. Here it is with the Traxxas brushless system that will take up to 11.1v but is an animal on only 7.4v in the other vehicles I’ve put them in , ESC with stability control (that can be disabled 100% too), adjustable steel camber and toe links vs the non adjustable plastic links it came with, as well as the much grippier tires from the Gazoo Racing Toyota Supra version of this chassis, which have a smaller rim with more sidewall to boot! And here’s the pic I posted in the mock up thread after it was all cut out. and finally, other than programming the electronics to work with a different transmitter that it came with, it is otherwise done!

Who doesn't love a mock-up? Let's see yours!

Parts are in and here’s where I am at now with the above Traxxas Factory Five Hot Rod? with those fenders gone, it’s starting to look like a real hot rod now! -

Need to order a clear body to chop up for a fenderless build, but I’m digging the more tuner-ish rolling stock from the Supra GR version of this chassis already, should look better in a darker color and with the fenders chopped off? -
What Did You Get Today? (Not Model Related)
Joe Handley replied to LOBBS's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
Picked up a different set of rolling stock and Rx for the above Hot Rod. It looks like I will need to order the body in clear and second light harness so I can have this one as the pretty shelf body then a fenderless body to have for having fun, especially with those bigger Cheater slick style tires for the Supra version of this chassis?
