  1. better with butter!
  2. Loved Connery's acting! He always brought the best to every role. Of course, 007 was his classic, but I also really liked his portrayal of the Irish cop in "The Untouchables" as well as Indy Jones' father. He'll be missed, but we'll always have his movies to enjoy into the future! ?
  3. Have any of you full-fendered fans tried matching/mashing the '30 Coupe with the fender assembly from the '31 Woody kit (85-7637)? Seems like it would be a possible solution. After all, any measurement on Revell's rulers should be the same, whether coupe or woody. So it seems to me. Just a thought. I haven't tried it, but that '31 Woody kit was a pure gem. ?
  4. Gads! You're brutal!
  5. They could hit the big time if the first release(s) are '67-'68 bowtie pickups. Hasn't been any since decades ago. Later, they could fill in with the '70-'72 which have been more recently available. Then the 4x4s and K5s and Suburbans, huh! Bring 'em on!!!! ?
  6. Clap for ... Wolfman
  7. Welcome to the Forum, Jeff! There are two model cars exclusive clubs in the Valley now, Cactus Car Modelers and Moonlight Modelers, plus the Craig Hewitt Chapter of IPMS (all disciplines, including cars). You were probably once a member of Moonlight Modelers; it's been around more than 30 years. Cactus is the 'new guy' - only 14 years old! You are more than welcome to check out all three clubs, see if any or all of them are up your alley. If you are interested, let me know - - - we'll get you hooked up with the info you need. There are (usually) four model car contests in the Valley every year - 2020 has been different because of Covid-19. But, one of the four is coming up next month: Goodguys Southwest Nationals at Westworld in Scottsdale, November 20-21-22. We have a big model car (and pedal car) contest in conjunction with the huge 1:1 car show Goodguys puts on. Next March is the Goodguys Spring Nationals model car and pedal car contest, also at Westworld in Scottsdale, March 19-20-21, 2021. Next April is the Desert Scale Classic (17th Annual) Model Car Championship; Saturday, April 10, 2021. Stay tuned for details. And, usually the IPMS Chapter puts on an event in November that they call Modelzona - all types of models, including cars. However, due to Covid-19, this year's event was cancelled. It should be held again the first Saturday of November 2021. Point is . . . there's a lot of hobby activity and support in the Valley. Try it out! See what fits you. PS: You probably know Jim Hollister. A mutual friend! Welcome to the Valley's modeling scene, too! Danno ?
  8. Wooo hooo! Dang. ?
  9. Most of my past employers' IT people were from the other side of a couple of oceans. I used English in my passwords . . . and got strange looks. ?
  10. First word: Plastic
  11. One megahumongous corporation I worked for had multi-personality and schizophrenic IT types. They'd put you through the same paces, then you'd change your password just to squelch the incessant reminders. New password would work all day. But, next day, your new password didn't work. However, the old one you replaced did! Then the 'change your password' reminders resumed. Rinse and repeat every day until you called IT so they could "create a ticket" [in other words, job security for them]. That would fix the whole issue . . . until the end of 45 days when the "60 day password security" cycle would begin again. We spent more time changing passwords than "innovating." ?
  12. Congratulations, guys, on the culmination of the first round! Job well done, my friends. ?
  13. Sea shore seashells
