  1. Holy resurrected thread, Batman! I got excited when I saw the “Studillac” title, and our long lost friend Bernard. Once I opened the thread and saw it was a 7 year old post, well, I was disappointed it wasn’t a “new” build. Nonetheless, I said it back then and I’ll say it again: that’s one very beautiful build - very tastefully styled, including choice of colors, and exceptionally executed! Very nice to see this blast from the past again. ?
  2. Oooooh! Pedal-slips HURT!
  3. Makes sense; the original had no glass!
  4. Google “Ranger Detail Technologies.” They offer an amazing multi-media Kit of The LA County Squad including the proper “51” decals and license plates. Builds into the Best, most accurate replica ever! You’ll need a Dodge pickup donor kit to do 51, or, you can use any other chassis cab to build your own as LA County used Chevys and a few Fords in the ‘70s. Point of fact, the Dodge cab “D” series cab was only used on the TV series “Emergency!” — product placement by Chrysler. (There was a handful of the larger “W” series Dodge cabs in LACFD service before the TV show.) Check out the Ranger kit — it is awesome! ?
  5. Yes, they’ll be re-opening “tomorrow” (actually, today - by the time you read this). ?
  6. Very sorry to hear your very sad news, Rick. I’m right there with you. I lost the Lovely and Gracious Mrs. B only 139 days ago, after 40 wonderful years of being very much together through everything life brought our way. My good friend Wayne Gray lost his beloved Mary a week ago. We’re both empty, as I know you are. It doesn’t get better, but they say it will get easier to bear. Just know that she’s in God’s grace, He’s holding her in His arms, and you are and will hold her in your heart forever. She’s no longer suffering and you’ll have the memories . . . God bless you and your family, my friend. Danno
  7. Cocoa Puffs, Fluffy!
  8. Thanks, Larry. Good update with good, promising news. Keep it up!
  9. or afternoon delight?
  10. Oh, Gotcha. Sadly, probably more salient than who still has the same 30-year-old phone number, is whether they are still around at all. Unfortunately, we've lost a number of Moonlighters . . . good friends who aren't answering any phones any more. ?
  11. Very nice, Marty! Now you know why I don't have a cat. ? By the way, welcome MCM Forum! You'll enjoy, I'm sure. I'm Danno and I approved this quality post. ?
  12. 'Has theirs' what? Do we want to know, Mike? I'm Danno and I approved this post. Not necessarily Mike's post, but this post. ?
  13. Thanks, Carl. Been big changes in life. More empty time for self-entertainment; thus, more time online. Don't have much quality wisdom to impart but maybe I can buy some on Amazon. I'm Danno and I approved this post; #16,305. ?
  14. LOL. (Oh, wait. Was this a quality post? Oh, well. Whatever. It’s my post and I’m proud of it.) I’m Danno and I approved this post. ?
  15. Hear, hear, Bill! The Lovely and Gracious and Beloved Mrs. B would in recent years tell me I seemed to be getting grumpier and less tolerant of people. She was concerned I was becoming Walt Kowalsky, she said. i defended myself by explaining that the older I get, the more people I’ve met. It gave me solace, but it didn’t really impress her, I guess. At any rate, I guess she earned her eternal reward by putting up with me for 40 years, “people” or not. God, I miss her. But she still inspires me to seek that calmness you describe. ?
  16. Congratulations! Glad to see you’ve successfully inspired a convert. Well done. ?
  17. Thank you, Dave, for all your volunteer efforts . . . And your reasonable and rational moderatorness! ?
  18. Agreed! Now, onward and upward, tally ho!
  19. Hear, hear, Tom! ? Scaley Otto’s forum became a ghost town largely because of heavy-handed, elitist, holier-than-thou sanctimonious moderating. Fortunately, this forum has been able to avoid that kind of community-killing strangleholding. That’s why it’s fun here and this thing continues to grow and thrive.
