  1. I got a little more done on the chassis, added some trans detail & throttle parts. Not much but p.i.a. stuff.
  2. Are you sure that's not real!!! WOW, VERY VERY COOL!!!!
  3. That is great work!!! You nailed it!!! SPOT ON!!!
  4. There's NO flaw in this slaw!!! These look great! I can never see enough Dukes of Hazzard vehicles!
  5. My friend has a Model T conversion like the blue one & that orange one looks like one I had about 10 years ago.
  6. Thanks, I made it from a Model A car rear, some scrap evergreen & some putty. The bolts are just stretched sprue put through drilled holes then heated with a lighter to round them off. Nothing fancy but it looks ok.
  7. I started this yesterday for a new friend that asked if I could build one for him. I found my box of Model A parts & this is what I got done so far. You don't need much to build one, It's basically just a cut down chassis turned into a poor mans tractor. I built a worm gear rear for it & mocked some of it up.
  8. Welcome to the fun! I'm also a big Mopar fan. I drive a 2012 Ram, 1970 Charger, 1940 Power wagon for plowing & my wife drives a Voyager. Have fun here & lets see some of your collection!
  9. Thanks Mark, I use a paint called Sophisticated Finishes Iron Metallic Surfaces & Rust Antiquing Solution. It takes a bit to get used to but the effects are pretty cool. It's real rust so you get different colors & textures depending on how much you use & how long you leave the solution on. I also use a little tamiya powers if I think it needs it, this one didn't get any.
  10. Here's a goose neck I built along time ago from plastruct & evergreen.
  11. Thanks for all the kind words everyone. I love the yellow & white one Tuilo, it looks just right!
  12. Built from a vintage kit that was a glue bomb. Just fun to do, nothing too fancy.
  13. I see what you mean. Those are some nice wreckers you built.
  14. Great start! The new sides of the body turn it into a completely different truck, much better if you ask me. I'll be watching for more!
  15. I got some paint on it finally. I have to give the roof a redo, I came out bad. I think I'm going give it a white roof this time.
  16. Those are some good looking trucks! Great work!
  17. I got the engine about done with some wiring. The chassis is almost done too, I need to add some front brake lines and finish the pto for the winch.
  18. My computer crapped out so I just got a different one. I did some work on the cab again, I fixed the windshield & added the driprail. I did some more work on the engine too. I'll get more pics soon. Thanks for looking!
  19. When I was a kid my mother & father always went to auctions to buy junk. For mom anything she thought she could resell & make a few bucks on was what she'd buy. My father had a small junkyard of about 100 cars & trucks but they were all antiques, nothing new & in the 70s that made everything pretty old. At one of those auctions my mother bought some old model kits and loving old cars it was a great match. We would go all over to car shows every weekend to sell moms junk & dads car parts. One of the flyers for the next show we were going to had a model contest so I built what I had, old auction junk. Didn't win but it was fun. I learned to buy & sell my own stuff at the shows to make money enough to get some store bought models and supplies. I always had fun doing it & even won a few contests. Now many years later I still love it & my daughter is wanting to learn about building too. Gotta keep the hobby alive!
  20. Great start man! Keep going!
  21. It's been a while but I've started working on my wrecker again. I had a problem with it being an automatic so I built a 4 speed with with a power take off, it just makes more sense.
  22. For more info: http://www.hvhmg.org/expo.html Is anyone going?
  23. I went to this 20 years ago & it was great then. I'd like to go again this year & figured it would be a good idea to share it with everyone else. ShowFlyer2016.pdf
  24. Thanks everyone! I used some craft wire I had a bunch of. I just wound each row of coils into springs & glued them into the frame.
  25. This is great!!! Love the detail!!! Now Daisy can finally keep up with the General
