  1. I got them on ebay. They are resin & the first time I've used them but they're real nice. Check them out. http://www.ebay.com/itm/201473658693?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
  2. Your off to a great start! Your building it like a real one, using whatever you have for parts. If you don't have it, build it. I've seen them with plywood firewalls & old road signs for hoods. Anything goes & nothing is wrong. It won't be long & it will be ready to go to work.
  3. The old amt 57 ford kit came with a little Bassett hound. That's what I used for my patrol cars.
  4. Very cool Chuck!!! It looks like an old flower car on steroids!
  5. Thanks guys! I added a bumper, step & I'm working on the hood. I need to paint it but it's still about 10 degrees out so not today. I'm working on a trailer for it too. I think I'm going to make it full of fence posts & barbed wire.
  6. I know it should be 1 ton & smaller but what about this? Its a 1950 Chevy 3100 nose so I'm not sure if it meets the requirements. Please let me know.
  7. Thanks guys! I got more finished & I'm in the home stretch. More wiring plumbing paint & scratch built seat.
  8. I think I'll give it a try. I have alot of stuff to choose from. Can we do customs or do they need to look stock?
  9. Thanks Dave, I built a tow hitch with a removable receiver so I could mount the frame for the bike, a ball or a step to get in the camper.
  10. Thanks guys, Dave the camper was scratch built. It's just an empty shell, not too hard to do at all. It would look great on your truck, you should do it!
  11. This is going to be nice. I like it being a 2wd myself, it's just different. I did a 1 ton duallie extended cab years ago, it was my first time stretching everything but didn't come out to bad. Get ready for lots of sanding & good luck, I can't wait to see it done.
  12. I was going to make it restored but this time of year is busy so I haven't had time to do much. About the only thing I could do is screw up a paint job so it looks like it's going to look very used. I even fixed the holes I added in the cowl but between the temperature being below zero here & being in a hurry I wasn't having any luck. I got some wheels the other day for the rear & added some wires & crappy paint.
  13. O.k. I'm having an issue & I need some opinions. I have built real Doodlebugs & models & they always look old & rusty because that's the way I've seen them. Now the real ones are being restored & used in shows & parades, not the work horses they were meant to be. Poor mans tractor is what they were, but seeing them shiny is pretty cool too. So my question is should it be restored or not? I'm ready for paint & don't know which way to go. Please give me some advise. Here's one of my old ones & one someone restored.
  14. Don't worry about the facebook guy. If you're happy with it, then that's all that matters! I like it, & I love the bug deflector!!!
  15. I got a little more done on the chassis, added some trans detail & throttle parts. Not much but p.i.a. stuff.
  16. Are you sure that's not real!!! WOW, VERY VERY COOL!!!!
  17. There's NO flaw in this slaw!!! These look great! I can never see enough Dukes of Hazzard vehicles!
  18. My friend has a Model T conversion like the blue one & that orange one looks like one I had about 10 years ago.
  19. Thanks, I made it from a Model A car rear, some scrap evergreen & some putty. The bolts are just stretched sprue put through drilled holes then heated with a lighter to round them off. Nothing fancy but it looks ok.
  20. I started this yesterday for a new friend that asked if I could build one for him. I found my box of Model A parts & this is what I got done so far. You don't need much to build one, It's basically just a cut down chassis turned into a poor mans tractor. I built a worm gear rear for it & mocked some of it up.
  21. Welcome to the fun! I'm also a big Mopar fan. I drive a 2012 Ram, 1970 Charger, 1940 Power wagon for plowing & my wife drives a Voyager. Have fun here & lets see some of your collection!
  22. Thanks Mark, I use a paint called Sophisticated Finishes Iron Metallic Surfaces & Rust Antiquing Solution. It takes a bit to get used to but the effects are pretty cool. It's real rust so you get different colors & textures depending on how much you use & how long you leave the solution on. I also use a little tamiya powers if I think it needs it, this one didn't get any.
  23. Here's a goose neck I built along time ago from plastruct & evergreen.
