  1. I love 57 Fords & this is the nicest I've seen in a long time. The paint is AMAZING!!!
  2. You did a great job! I want to see more pictures of it! Don't tease us with just 1 pic.
  3. The weather man said -24 degrees with the wind chill the next few nights, so I'll be enjoying these this weekend. Xmas gifts from the wife & kids.
  4. Nice work on the Mustang & that backdrop is awesome! Is it made from foam board or...?
  5. I love it! Great colors on a great build!
  6. Wow , thanks for all the great comments. I didn't think anyone would be interested in this type of build, it's not a cool hot rod or muscle car. I' know that Montgomery Ward & Sears had these types of conversions. The Model A we had as a kid was a cut off car chassis with a cowl & the part for the transmission. The Model T was a cart conversion like this. That's funny, we had one of these too that my father used for sand blasting. His was a B model cut off with the Gordon Head. I'll see if I can find some pics of it. So I got the cart about finished, I need to make a battery box, a few more brackets and get some paint on it. It's still a little cold ( about 6 degrees) so I don't see any paint getting on it today.
  7. My parents dug out some stuff to decorate for the Holidays & they found this. When I was a kid my parents bought this in a box lot at an auction (over 40 years ago) & I played with it forever. I remember sitting on the trailer & driving all over the house with the trailer filled full of other toys. When I got into my teens it was the perfect place to hide a bottle of booze. My parents moved to Tennessee when I was 18 & they stayed over 10 years. Then moved back to New York after my wife & I had kids. You can't keep Grandparents away! The other day my father said he had something for me to take home. I though the truck was long gone, so it was pretty cool to see it again. It still is painted the way it was when I got it & is in pretty good shape for the amount of miles it has on it. I think I might strip it down, fix the cracks in the wood & give it a new paint job. Anyway, I figured all you truckers would enjoy this. HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!!
  8. I like it alot!!! I'm glad to see it complete & not "One with the wall". That's how most of mine turn out, in more parts than I started with.
  9. I haven't had a lot of time to work on this but I did get some paint on & a little more stuff...
  10. Hi guys, I need some help. How can I make some radiator hose clamps that look better than just painting a small stripe of silver? Thanks in advance.
  11. Grossinger's was a great place. Nothing left now but a falling down building & a golf course. I pass it every day. Thanks, and your right I deserve a kick in the ass for leaving it out. Thanks, she needs a lot of work but hopefully one day...
  12. I'm about 2 hours & then some North of New York City & we got about 5 inches at my house. The weatherman said maybe an inch or less so I didn't put the car in the garage. OOPS! At least it's melting pretty good today.
  13. This is one of my favorites on this board!!! I love everything about it. I watched you build it and man a lot of work went into it, & well worth it. Again WOW!!!!!!!
  14. I'm going to try to build this type of power unit. When I was a kid my father had a couple of these that he used when he was a kid to cut firewood. They were belt driven to an old buzz saw. He used the Model T one for an engine stand for years too. The Model A was mounted on the back of an old 37 Chevy running Chassis. I'm not sure if we have any pictures of them, I'll have to check. I don't have much done yet, but here's what I have so far.
  15. 2 Generals I did years ago, a 68 & 69. I need a 70 kit to do one of my 1.1 Charger.
  16. That's too cool! When I was a kid, my fathers friend had one in his junkyard that we played in. It was an old transport car for the airport. I forgot all about that until I saw this great model. Thanks for the memories.
  17. I bought these & they had others sold separate in Kmart. They're for the little Christmas village scenes. The scale might not be perfect but wreaths are all different sizes, they could work.
  18. It doesn't get any better than this. Very very nice!
  19. Hi, I found these tonight on ebay. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1-25-scale-1977-78-Plymouth-Fury-resin-grille-Dukes-of-Hazzard-A-Team-etc/232574017316?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649 https://www.ebay.com/itm/1-25-1977-78-Dodge-Monaco-Plymouth-Fury-headlights-Dukes-of-Hazzard-Police/232574039017?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649 https://www.ebay.com/itm/1-25-75-76-Plymouth-Fury-Dodge-Coronet-headlights-Dukes-of-Hazzard-Police/232574011157?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649
  20. Thanks for all the kind words guys.
  21. A lot of work here on this one, I like it! I think you better find a smoother road to drive it on.
  22. I'm not sure if it should be posted here or in the truck section. It started with a bag of parts I bought off ebay. There was enough for a complete chassis so I went with the repurposed farm vehicle look. The body is basswood made to look as worn out as the rest. This is the 2nd time trying to make wood look old, not too bad but could be better. I built the trailer frame from scratch & put an old Model A box from my parts stash. Cut off fireplace matches from the dollar store for fence posts & made the tools from plastic & toothpicks. Just something fun to do.
  23. Wow, great work! It looks so real. I can't wait to see it in the diorama you have planned.
  24. Not Chimneyville but should work. I've bought from him & they're pretty good figures. He usually has both but you probably have to ask about other figures. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1-24-1-25-scale-1021-Figure-UNPAINTED-Resin-NO-MINNESOTA-SALES/262813953781?hash=item3d30eeaef5:g:rfoAAOSwpRRWnTdQ
