  1. I'm lovin this truck! Your weathering is top notch stuff. To me, the roof is crazy cool, it looks like the weather made it look that way. Very, Very real looking work.
  2. I'm pretty sure that if it had a shifting lever it either had a 2 speed rear, or an aftermarket trans like a Warford. My fathers old 25 TT had a 2 speed Ruckstell rear, Warford trans, Rocky Mountain brakes and a Waukesha head. They made lots of accessories for the Model T but if it doesn't have Ford script on the part it didn't come with it.
  3. I'm going to finish this thing! I'm tired of looking at it! I've been working on it so it wont be long now.
  4. Wow! turned out great! It looks right at home with the rest of the fleet too. GREAT JOB!!!
  5. Spot on old work truck! Great weathering, it looks so real!
  6. Thanks Carl. It's nothing fancy, mostly dremel work from the inside, slow & easy. I use "Sophisticated Finishes" paint & then weathering powders, chalks & dullcote paint to seal it. Thanks Bruce. The tires are done the old fashion way, with a candle. I heat it a little at a time pressing it on the table just as it begins to blister. Lots O' patience & practice.
  7. I just wanted to say thank you for all the great comments. It means alot coming from the best builders out there! YOU GUYS!!!
  8. Thanks, those are "Scenes unlimited" parts, very nice stuff they got there.
  9. I really like how this looks! The colors & Hemi decals are perfect! I wanted to get one of these kits & try something I saw at a local car show but it will take some work. Maybe one day...
  10. This was one of those "AMT PROSHOP" pre-painted models. I thought I would do a quick build for once but nooooo. After looking through everything I noticed the interior had 2 passenger side door panels instead of a left & right. So I built it with the inner door skin look & it went down hill from there for her. Lots of rust & rot, perfect for the junkyard.
  11. ALL THE ABOVE X2!!! WOW!!!
  12. Great start, I like it! I think if you shorten it you'll be in for a lot of work. If you take 1 window width out of the middle, then the rear will look like it has too much overhang. Then you might have to move the wheel wells back a little to make it look right. That's a lot of cutting, not to mention moving the door from one side to the other. Either way, it looks great & good luck, I'll be watching.
  13. This is sweet! If I was going to do this one I would use the "S'cool bus" body. I think it's a better look & probably a little less work.
  14. My Hippie bus using a Isuzu Bonnet Bus resin copy.
  15. That looks great! The only thing I would change is the crank handle should be on the other side. That way you can release the gear to drop the cable.
  16. Man, that looks great! I love this picture too, it looks like the real thing! I sent you a pm with your measurements, so I can't wait to see what's next.
  17. Thanks, sorry about your dad. After I posted the pictures I realized I set the saw up wrong. I didn't think anyone would notice, but.... So here it is the right way & thank you all for the great comments!!!
  18. Finally finished this thing & got some good pics. Old Ford A Model power unit like my father had as a kid. Tell me what you think... good or bad I want to hear it all.
  19. Thanks guys! Tom, I had this problem & it was driving me nuts, they don't have enough weight to them to stay put with the belt on. I didn't want to anchored it to something that someone didn't want, because I'm not keeping it. "mecklm" Mike, reminded me about adding a twist to the belt. It was something I forgot about & it made it look 100% better. I made the belt longer, added the twist & used spray starch for ironing clothes to hold the shape. Now they stay apart without the belt pulling them together. I still need better pictures.
  20. Thanks guys, Mike I couldn't find some Tyvek that would hold the shape I needed. I ended up using masking tape & I think it looks ok. I'll post more pics "under glass" when I get some better pictures.
  21. I had some time & worked on the buzz saw. Just needs to be cleaned up & painted. Now I need to figure out what to make a belt from, any ideas would help. Thanks to everyone for all the great comments.
  22. Thanks, nothing fancy just Walmart rattle can flat black & dry brushed with good old Testors silver.
  23. I'm about finished with this part. It still needs a fuel line, choke, throttle & spark lever. Next I'll make a buzz saw to go with it.
  24. Thanks! Kind of? I found them in my Model A parts box. They're from different kits & just the outer part of the wheel with some styrene around the outside.
  25. You do great scratch building, so please tell me your not using the tow boom that comes in the kit. I think it would look killer with a Manley Wrecking crane like the one I built for one of my trucks.
