  1. I love this truck! Great colors, really nice body & I love the trim work on the sides. I drove one like it as a kid only mine was green.
  2. Beautiful! 57 Fords are my favorite cars ever since I was a kid and this is the best looking model of a wagon I've seen. I wish I had your talent to make one look this nice.
  3. I've had this happen too. If I don't put my beard in a pony tail or tuck it in my shirt it ends up knocking things off the bench. Sometimes there's paint in it & parts. I think if I work on something too long I'll have my own personal junkyard on my face. Talk about losing something & finding it right under your nose!?
  4. The top looks great & the I love that radiator shell. It wont be long & the primer & paint should be flying.
  5. I wish I had this for my collection! Great job!
  6. Thanks for the compliments guys.
  7. It looks like the real thing. Lots of great detail & the weathering is perfect! Great job!
  8. Beautiful! I can't wait to see it finished.
  9. Thanks Paul, I used some thinned down flat grey waterbase paint. Nothing fancy just some old craft paint I had lying around. I brushed it on heavy, (making sure to get it in the scribed lines good) waited a few minutes to kind of soak in & then wiped it with a dry paper towel. I did it a couple times until it looked good to me. It was a trial & error thing that happened to work out. I tried to make the bathroom look like most I remember seeing as a kid. You could use it if you HAD TO but really didn't want to.?
  10. I started this back in 2016 & got 4 walls up. It was good enough for a backdrop when taking pictures but I keep seeing all these great garage dioramas you guys are doing & I figure it's time to get mine going again. It wont be easy, I still don't have my model stuff ready from the move but I'm hoping this will get me fired up to do some work. There was a post for it a while ago but the pictures were lost so here I go again. I started with the walls, they're made from sheet rock, I removed the paper from one side & scribed the lines for the blocks. I used some thin board I found in the garage for the floor & just painted it grey. I built the bathroom from left over pieces of sheet rock & scrap plastic. I glued the rear wall & left side wall in place for now. I'm leaving the other side & front loose so i can remove them for getting better pictures. I have a few tools in it now but nothing permanent, I have a couple tool kits to built that will look better. Good or bad, let me know what you think.
  11. Wow, those shocks & water pump look great. Nice detail.
  12. I got a big box of them a while ago. The 62 F100 is just getting a good cleaning & put on a shelf, but the 40 Ford I want to rebuild. It just looks cool to me.
  13. WOW, this is some really cool stuff. Here are a few tow truck bodies & booms I built and my Model A Ford Buzz Saw unit.
  14. https://www.facebook.com/TheBeastOfTheEastNY Unfortunately they had to reschedule the model contest for April 4th 2020 because of old man winter.
  15. I have to say, most of my builds are rebuilt from old kits. I enjoy turning something old into something new again. It's funny, I buy new boxed kits & find myself using all the parts for rebuilding something old. I guess that's why I have such a huge parts pile, it ALL ends up just parts, no complete kits.
  16. I know, I saw it and went crazy.? Good luck , I can't wait to see what you do with it.
  17. Yea, I was inspired by this...
  18. I started tearing this apart yesterday. LOTS of glue but i'm getting there.
  19. Saw this & figured i'd share it. Looks good but not sure if I can make it.
  20. I really want to do this...
  21. You should stop taking pictures of real cars & parts and passing them off as models. What I really want to know is where you got that giant dime? ? All kidding aside, this is amazing work and thank you for sharing it with us.
  22. How about a Maxwell, I've loved these since I was a kid.
  23. You like that? I said basically that same thing only with more colorful words.?
  24. I'm not sure how it's back on the 1st page, but thanks guys.
