  1. I don't know about other ones, but I know this one has a date with an excavator & some roll offs. I hear ya! Thanks, I love your car. I have a 1:1 70 Charger with plans for a General Lee clone. Thanks to everyone else who commented. This double wide is from 1984 so it's worn out. I know that these types of homes have a bad rap but it's what we can afford. We looked into having a stick built house but that was way to pricey. The "Modular Homes" are built the same as the double wide but cost almost $100,000 more because they remove the wheels & axles & it needs a basement. Not to mention a with a "Mobile Home" our taxes stay cheaper too, New York taxes are nuts! The new one we picked is so nice it even has full attic. When we get it in I''l get some pics, it's really nice.
  2. I love it! Great work on the entire thing!!!
  3. We have been in this double wide for about 20 years and now it's time to say goodbye. We aren't moving to a different location just removing this house & replacing it with a brand new one. OMG how did we accumulate so much stuff!!! I know I have a big collection of model stuff & my Dukes of Hazzard collection but I didn't realize how much shtuff is crammed into every tiny spot in this house. I've been packing Dukes stuff for 2 days & I'm tired of doing it already, I'm tempted to start listing it all on ebay just to get rid of it. Anyway, it's back to packing, I'm sorry I had to vent for a minute, here's just some of my Dukes collection I'm packing. I forgot, please don't be offended by all the Confederate flags, it's just a collection of old toys.
  4. Just a little more, the grill & hood. I don't know if I'll have time to finish this. We're closing on a new house today & I'm gonna have to start packing all this BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH up soon.
  5. I was 6' 8" 20 years ago, now I'm 6' 7". Life is crushing me slowly but surely.
  6. Not much but I got the interior done & some paint on the cab.
  7. Wow, that looks beautiful. Great work!
  8. Your doing good work Perry, keep it up. As for your truck having rust on the inside, your right to do it. I know for a fact on these old Chevys they get rusty inside & out. I've been helping my father work on his 1:1 51 Chevy & it's rusty everywhere, the gaskets get old & let water in. If you want to add some depth to your rust use a little darker brown washes on some parts or get some "tamiya weathering master powder". That's what I use & it works great. Anyway, keep at it & HAVE FUN, that's what it's all about.
  9. Pic of me, my beautiful wife & my daughters.
  10. Drove the bus in about 3" at 4:30 pm, not too bad. Now its 10:45 with 9" & still coming down.
  11. Looks great! I'd love to see the chassis you built.
  12. Me too, They're such good looking trucks to me. I think they'd sell pretty good if somebody reissued them. Thanks a lot guys. It's been tough finding time to work on this thing. Work, fixing my daughter's car, getting ready for winter & a snow storm of 3"-6" today isn't gonna help.
  13. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one still using rattle cans. Keep it up, looks good so far. I'll be watching too, I love the old Model A's.
  14. I got most of the chassis done. I used the front & rear ends from a Ramcharger kit. The stance & fit looks o.k. to me.
  15. Very Cool!!! I did one like this back in the early 90s. I used a Monogram F350 duallie nose, chassis & scratch built the interior. Nothing as detailed & cool as this though. AWESOME WORK!!!
  16. "Ridge Runner" kit. Here's mine, before & after Honda Odyssey ATV.
  17. Thanks guys, I appreciate all the compliments. It makes me feel good that you guys think it looks that good. I don't buy much aftermarket stuff for detailing, I just use what I have scrounged from old electronics & whatever I find for wiring & plumbing. Thanks for the offer Jon but I got something that will work. PM me your address & I'll send you the front end I have, It's built but should work fine. Don't worry about trading anything, I'm happy to give it to you to help out a fellow modeler.
  18. Nice work! I love these old trucks, I pushed a lot of snow for years with one. I'd like to find one too & build one like my old plow truck.
  19. I started this about 6 years ago & it still sits on the shelf yelling at me to work on it. I have others but this one yells the loudest.
  20. I haven't had much bench time but I did get the engine started.
  21. You took the words right out of my mouth.
  22. Your right! I would love to have any or all of the choices you put up here. When I was a kid we had a 41 Studebaker like your 2nd picture & it was cool. My father got it from a guy who couldn't start it. He didn't know that you had to push the clutch down to the floor to get the starter to spin. I think he paid $50 for it back then, I'd pay almost that for a good kit of one today.
  23. Anyone know where I can find some 4x4 springs & axles for this?
