  1. I think you may have taken that comment the wrong way. I read it as, people will get tired of the higher costs and unreliable service and may decide that ordering from overseas is currently not a viable option. The don't jump to conclusions clause is in the appendix. Maybe you haven't gotten that far yet. 😄
  2. .txt is not supported by the software. There are 3 or 4 file types that are supported and are listed when you create your post.
  3. I have heard of this happening to other people and they had to go to COURT to get partially reimbursed. I think the mob runs the EZ-Pass racket.
  4. Yeah, it's expensive to own a hyper car. My old boss has his Mclaren towed from MD to PA and back for a $10k oil change and thinks nothing of it.
  5. I like the junkyard Chrysler. I see all the work that went into the interior and engine bay. IMO it took a lot of skill to pull that off.
  6. I am confused (happens a lot) are you talking rims or tires? Everyone is talking about the raised lettering on the tires, you keep mentioning rims. I have seen good and bad printed parts, tires, bodies, engines. Too many people are trying to make a quick buck and print garbage. 3D printing, for the model industry, isn't where it needs to be just yet (IMO), at least not on a broad scale. However, it does keep getting better and sometimes cheaper.
  7. We have been working on how to reword the descriptions to a lot of the areas. There are a few larger tasks that we have been focusing on, we will get it sorted out eventually.
  8. We discussed combining LSR with Drag Racing, but eventually decided against it. This was partly because drag racing is side by side racing for quickest time and LSR is solo run for top speed. We may tweak things in the future.
  9. Moderation lengths vary and sometimes we have it as random. We currently have it set longer because of the amount of spammers and bots joining the site. This still does not catch them all.
  10. I follow Royalty Auto Service on FB. I think they are in Georgia. They preach diagnose to be sure, before you start replacing. Every year there are fewer and fewer competent mechanics. There are very few that I trust to work on my personal vehicles, especially my old (60's) cars. Manufacturers can program those computers to spit out all kinds of random codes.
  11. If it is coming across as possible spam, it might be as simple as whitelisting the domain name.
  12. We have discussed new emojis and will see what is available after the next big software update. There is a new version coming soon, but we are not going to update right away. Hopefully let some other boards work out the bugs.
  13. Slight revision to the rules. Everyone please read through them again.
  14. Searching for tags is just as simple. 1. While viewing topics, if you see a tag that catches your eye, you can click on it and it will show all topics using that tag, 2. You can also use the forum search function. Simply click on the magnifying glass in the search bar to open the detailed search functions. 3. Click "Search By Tags" and enter the tag you would like to find. All topics with that tag attached will be displayed.
  15. (This is an updated tutorial, with photos, of a previously posted topic) Want to add tags, to make your topic more easily searchable by the forum software, but don't know how? Just follow the EASY steps below (Windows PC; Other devices may be slightly different): 1. Make sure you are in the correct forum area and click the "Start new topic" button. 2. Enter the title of your topic and then click the "Add tags..." button just below the title. Best to do it right after you name the topic, so you don't forget. 3. Enter the tags (numbers and lower case letters only) by following the posted directions. You can add up to 4 tags. Keep them simple, 1 or 2 words. No need to use quotes. Examples: hot rod, custom, mopar, amt, truck. You get the point. 4. Finish creating your post and then hit the "Submit Topic" button. That is all you have to do, you have now added tags to your topic. Tags can be added to previously posted topics, but only within the editing window time frame.
  16. Let me know how you like it. I am a Mopar guy, but had a bad experience with an older truck (death rattle) that has kept me from getting another one.
  17. Search Mini Wildgoose Motorhome and see if it looks something like that.
  18. Some of the ugly parts are what keep the car on the road at 200 mph. 95% of the owners will never come anywhere close to that.
  19. I went back and looked at the thread. The first two posts were fine and were about never forgetting 9/11. The next 6 were about the evil and soulless people in the world. That is why it was removed, the floodgates had already been opened. Threads about Memorial Day or Veterans Day tend to stay focused on the veterans and the lives that were lost, not about specific political parties or religions. I have been a mod here for awhile and have a decent (not perfect) feel for how certain topics will go. Both of these would have gone very bad, which is sad.
  20. Copied from the forum header for this section: The Off-Topic Lounge General discussions on anything EXCEPT politics or religion! Keep it clean... all forum rules apply! Off-Topic doesn't mean anything goes. Just like free speech doesn't mean you can say fire in a theater or bomb on a plane. Part of our job is interpreting what is political and what isn't. Putting "this isn't political" in the title or your post generally means even the poster knows that it is probably political or going to be really quick. We often lock or remove post preemptively, to keep the more vocal and passionate members from getting themselves banned. Some of you guys just can't stop yourselves from posting or replying with your point or counterpoint and then all heck breaks loose. Then when we ban folks or put them on moderation, we have to go through 20 rounds of messages about how their post wasn't this or that, and how we are out to get them. So really, we are tired of the same old, same old and stop it sooner rather than later. Some of you have been here long enough to know what the rules are, but you still like to test the boundaries. This area is provided for your use so that you may possibly connect with other members on something other than models. There are rules associated with this area, follow them. We don't have to provide it and honestly, our jobs would be so much easier if we didn't have to constantly police it.
  21. Backed all the way in and still overhangs the space by two feet. Just like it should.
  22. I play games off and on. Fallout 4 and Fallout 76, WoW, and just started playing old Warhammer 40k games.
  23. This made me laugh, because it is probably true. Let's all stay on topic please.
  24. Just a reminder, that Car Show photos have their own section. This section is for cars you see, on the road, while out and about.
  25. I think that was taken out of the software, but will poke around a bit later today when I get home from work.
