  1. I'm building this as a delivery van and I guess, because it is a "Panel' van, I suppose the sides should be more like a van... I dunno? Anyways, I don't have a lot of time to decide so I'll move on for now, to the interior plan. ?
  2. ? "Come along and Lets ride on that fantastic Voyage" ? slide, glide, slippity-slide Just forget about your troubles and your 9 to 5 " ??? Cue the music for a little Lakeside Stank! I'm officially putting this build back in action! No time to waste as I want to finish this by the beginning of March! Can it be done? I'm wondering now if I should close the panel up on the inside of the door and give it some definition? Or should it be smooth like a van on the outside? I don't know what in the H&MBanking I'm doing here but I'm gonna throw the world ? at this long stalled project and attempt to pull off the build in just over a month! Can it be done? That's the question ? Any advice will be greatly appreciated!
  3. Maybe you could opt for a more readily available Power plant? GT Ford, Ferrari, LS? VW, Allison? Electric conversion? Just some suggestions to help get you out of the hole... The modern Mercedes engine is a great idea though.
  4. Wow! this is Awesome! I'd like to see this one get finished!
  5. I'm not sure it will take the clear off either. I actually used that clear coat and tried stripping it right after I sprayed it on and it took longer to come off than normal. The least you can do is try. I don't think I'd risk sanding it unless you wet sand with with 600 grit and re-clear it. I'm interested in the Mustang and Camaro chassis not fitting, Revell 69 Camaro? and I assume the Mustang is the one pictured? I've built that kit before and had no trouble gettin it together... ?
  6. Awesome Richard, glad to see you're still kickin... and building! Looking forward to catching up with you and everyone else too.
  7. @landman The color is Electrifying! I hope it stays that way for ya, Sanding pads and polishing will bring back the shine if it soaks in. From your past photos it looks like there was some soak in so it was probably a good thing the first two paintjobs had to be stripped... @avidinha #15 love the wheels! This is probably my favorite project so far... hard to really choose this early but I'm inspired definitely with this build! Great work goin on here Folks! I need to start getting my project off the ground. The only thing I've done is find the hood from the Monster Mash Monster truck, the one that already has the hole for the blower? I guess that's something,?? Focus... Focus!! ????
  8. That does look Town-n-Country! It's funny how a build will lead you in the direction it wants to go... Is it too late for a 4X4 conversion? Now I'm seeing some fireball slots and Thornbirds on there with a pushbar foglights and a Roll bar in the bed!
  9. That's a nice Camaro! I had a couple of those myself. The owner told me those wheels on the Impala were $800 each ? wheels and tires alone were over $4,000 on that car. It was a $35,000+ build but the Nova was worth more so I had to pass... Nice car but really not my style anyway.
  10. Looking good ? I think she would look good Taxi Cab Yellow, Just sayin... ? here is my buddy's 24hrs of Lemons challenge. I collect real cars and (buy sell and trade) this guy wanted to trade me for a Nova I had a few years ago for a 96 Impala SS it was Awesome but the deal didn't work out as far as value but I would've loved to own it.
  11. My New Years Resolution was to finish some of these up... so far I'm not doing too well. ????‍?️?
  12. So I'm committed to the Drag Strip Wrecker... I think ? When I was a 6 or 7... I had a toy called the "Clyde's Car Crusher", it even had it's own commercial. I had the idea to build an old school drag style 1973 Chevy as Clyde's Tow-truck. I plan on scratch building a Pro-street tubbed wreaker bed. I'll build a 1:24th scale big block from something probably Monogram. Anyway, that's the plan...
  13. Yeah, I'm undecided myself... I haven't had time to really think about my entry lately... I need to buckle down and commit soon. But we still have time so no pressure... I'm seeing some great progress here and I want in on the action so I'm gonna choose soon. Honestly, I may have missed the Vette somehow too. The fourm will let you edit posts but only for a limited time. I think I may have tried to pick up some on the next page.?
  14. Wow! This build is progressing nicely... Clever positioning of the trans-axle. I love the those wheels, they're perfect for this build. This one is gonna catch us off guard for sure!?
  15. These wheels fit the truck side of the build nicely, on the other hand... the slots would go with the flares. ? The color combo is very subdued, like you're trying to blend in. Gonna throw this out there... Wood grain on the insert? Would look rugged and Mountineer-ish. How about a Campertop while you're at? ? just some suggestions...

  17. I had heard (read)rumors that Revell was revamping this kit and making some changes. I read it was a 2n1 kit and would offer newly tooled wheels and hood. A Stock and Drag version much like the original release Revell 69 Nova was in the works... Too good to be true I guess... I was reluctant to speak of the post from FB just because I didn't want to feed the Rumor mill. Now that the boxart has been revealed, It's safe to say that the Drag version will not happen. I was excited for that too because I think it would've been a great option for the Camaro.
  18. We got hammered Saturday... It's weird having all this snow here recently... we've had three storms since the end of December... here's my snow covered pick-up truck ?... the snow is trying to melt here. I don't care for it, wish it would go away... Excellent Choice! Nice! I need one of those too. ?
  19. drilling the hole at an angle may be the simplest solution or drilling it straight on and bending a a wire connector pre-angled for the hole. I don't know, you may have to explore other aftermarket wiring kits for those rubber boot connectors... see what fits the best...? Per the Norm though, great work aside I like that header! and I think I'd go for the Webber "stock" intake ? I commend your efforts, there is no easy task when working with that kind of project. I have his HHR Panel body, I tried mating the PT Cruiser interior and chassis with it. Currently a stalled project, I work on when the mood hits me now and then. I wanted to take a moment and acknowledge all the progress you guys are making! It's Amazing! You all are staying focused really early and it makes me feel like I'm in last place at the moment... I need to get my gears turning and figure out what I'm building!
  20. I think I'll get this kit, build it, design decals, and call the car "High Expectations" ??? in honor of all those kids that built the car back in the day who are now adults and expect it to be better than it was back then... ?????
  21. You're not wrong, I'm Anthony Wayne... My mom named me after a historically famous insane person... ? "Mad" Anthony... A General from the Revolutionary War... He's also the founder of the town we lived in... Waynesboro. but mostly famous for his mental illness which caused him many failures at the end of his short life at the age of 51. ??? Yeah Buddy! I'm glad to see you using the kit engine and nice fix to the axle hole oil pan.. I believe that is the big block from the 69 Chevelle... very puzzling why AMT did that... I'd bet there's been many p.o. Ford guys who opened the box on that kit.? And I love the wheel opening work you have done... that is superb! I wanna build mine now! Gotta stay focused on all these stalled projects that I'm committed to finishing in 2022 though...

  23. According to the R2 YouTube channel it's boxed and ready for circulation. I'm kinda excited to have one myself. It's a neat kit.
  24. I really didn't know much about the kit before it was announced that Round II was working on restoring the tools to re-issue the kit. I think you are right that it was originally issued in 1969. As I did some research on the history, I learned that It's designed from Harry Bradley's Luxury Sports Car which started out as the 68 Oldsmobile Toronado. There are some slight styling differences between 68 and 70 but since the car is so modified I don't see a problem with you using that kit. I still haven't committed to what I'm building yet. I've been thinking about it but I'm gonna keep pondering for now...
  25. Mark, yes you may choose to build any kit from the year you were born regardless if someone else is building the same kit. There is no rule against that or any modifications you want to make on the car such as altered wheelbase or engine relocation. So please join if you will, love to see you build with us... To upload pics from a cell phone or computer files... down below beside the paper clip click Add Files you will be directed to your gallery or files just add photos from there... and submit reply. That should work our for ya.?
