  1. Thanks for the Badman history, I seem to recall a separate side window option from an early 55 Chevy issue floating around in my parts box many years ago. I wondered if they were from the original Badman? Or was the glass always one peice?
  2. I could be wrong but I thought the original issue Badman had clear windows and the Red tint glass was added in 97 (re-issued in 99 and agian in 2012) for the Rebox and New boxart? Maybe someone with more knowledge could confirm or deny this? Either way I agree with the comments although I think the Malibu wheels are OK and wouldn't use the slots anyways. My plan for the Malibu is to use the Cragers from the Elcamino, those are 24th scale and look Awesome on the Chevelle.
  3. Kinda cool to hear Chris call out Dan Pitts on his personal 55 gasser in the video. He made sure to give credit for the design. I think it was cool to see a company use a design from something that's already in real life.
  4. Some fine modeling skills there... This is not what I was expecting but I like it!
  5. Don't sweat it, We all have reasons for not building but your health is most important so focus on getting healthy so you can get back to building agian. That grill is Awesome with the back opened up, was it super fragile when it was filed/cut out? I have one of those 90 Chevy 1500 kits. I want to do this to the grill (if I can)... really great detail!
  6. We are officially down to the wire with the run guys... one month to go! So I'm calling out all the unfinished entries (myself included) to finish up in these last few weeks. I have a long way to go and a short while to get there but, with all I have in me I will give it my best effort to finish. My Wrecker progress is minimal but I work best under pressure so I'm committed to getting it done! Thanks agian for the support from everyone. Let's kick it into high gear! See you all at the finish line!
  7. Our local club ACME (Augusta County Model Enthusiasts) club meeting, we pick a theme each month... October's is usually Halloween... here are the results. One of our members picked up a collection of build ups from the Fall Carlisle event. He brought those to display as well... enjoy, and thanks for looking.
  8. Here is a better veiw of the decal sheet...
  9. Stunning finish! I especially love the details on that interior. This makes me want to get a move on with my build, speaking of which... So I'm into the chopped top but I realized that the triple stacked blower engine is gonna sit radically over the roof now so I'm either gonna eliminate the middle blower or go with a tunnel ram and two fours on a conventional Chevy bigblock... atleast that will likely have a better chance of making the trip anyway... I'm stretching the bed and working on the interior... pics to come as soon as I get something accomplished... And the Hemi would've been a Monster for the Chevy but I may save it for another build...?
  10. I remember a few years ago watching the TV series Deputy starring Stephen Dorff on Fox. He drove a 78-79 Bronco. Although It's set in modern times (2020) the LAPD still has a vintage Bronco in service... ? you could replicate this fairly easy...
  11. Oh and I got this Hemi from the Hard Hat Hauler I'm thinking about trying to fit into the truck also...Its 1:20th scale but looks so cool! Talk me out of it please! ???
  12. I've collected a few images of my vision with the build... I think I've got my work cut out for me. ? It's gonna be a challenge but I think I can knock it out. I'm only chopping the top, stretching the bed into a longed stepside, fabbing a complete interior, and I also want to back-half the frame. Better get cracking...
  13. Now for my update... ? I've been making plans to finish my 1973 Wicked Pro-street Wrecker here is my progress... This Repo-man style Tow Truck Grab-N-Go rig will fit nicely in a stock bed with room for some hefty size tires... not exactly what I had envisioned but it will be a great feature with the build and I'll be able to Tow away all those CBR entries stopped for fuel, leaving you guys stranded...So ya better have extra fuel reserves ???
  14. Here is the updated list...Regardless if you aren't able to finish this year we do declare all entities active in case they qualify for future CBR runs. I've corrected all the errors and this is the finished builds list so far... I'm confident that I've got it sorted out, however if anyone sees something please call me out. ? I try to do my best with updating the Roster but atleast 3 entries snuck in there and were off my radar. This is an impressive list of finished hopefuls here I must say. Stunning builds! I hope we can all take a page out of these builders books and finish our own YOB builds! LET'S FINISH THIS CANNONBALL RUN STRONG!!!????????
  16. Great Details Brian, you would never know the complexity of the build if you didn't know the kit. I'll admit that I'm not familiar with these kits... Nice Job. and well done. Great color choice! Very impressive work and excellent example of what a cannonball run entry would look like. And the color reminds me of an early V.W. I like it...
  17. Lou was a good one, didn't expect that. Allison Janney was right on and I didn't see the ending coming.
  18. At first I thought it was strange to think that there is a lack of curiosity in regards to The Munsters Movie if nothing else, for the popularity of the original T.V. series. It's definitely a statement of 60's iconic pop culture. I watched the Rob Zombie Munsters creation on Netflix and there is truly a good explanation to why the lack of interest in his new movie. When I learned Rob Zombie was in charge of directing his version I was excited but nervous. I followed along with his Instagram news and updates and was more than enthusiastic with the development. I couldn't wait to see the finished project. I became less optimistic when I seen the trailer, but still held out hope that it was a parody and the real movie was gonna prove me wrong. Well needless to say I wasn't wrong and the movie did not live up to the hype nor did it meet any expectations of the original show. The writing was bad, the plot line was bad, the casting was hit and miss but mostly bad with the exception of Grandpa Munster who wasn't even a grandpa in this adaptation. I guess Zombie was in hopes that he'd get to tell that story in the sequel but I'm not sure he'll get the chance. Daniel Robuck embodied the acting style of Al Lewis and at times, if not for the mustache I couldn't tell them apart. But as a whole, the film was missing alot of signature elements that would have made movie magic. The absence of Eddie, Marilyn, the Munsters coach, and any 60's references other than "I've got you babe". Cassandra Peterson's role in the movie was just sad. She was born to play Elvira mistress of the dark and she could've easily been a romantic rival of Liily's and then, plot twist... turns out to be her sister. I could've written a better script I swear. So instead of saying watch the movie to see what I mean I would just say watch the original series on Peacock because that is the masterpiece and when they made that show they "Broke The Mold". Not at all what we hoped the movie would be. However, I do believe that somehow this film will gain future cult status in it's own way if nothing else for being so bad it's good.
  19. 1. #19 landman-1951 Studebaker 2. #18 cheyenne-1962 Pontiac Catalina 3. #6 Oldmopars-1970 Land Rover 4. #26 JustJim-1969 Karmann Ghia 5. #11 Beans-1970 Camaro Z28 6. #20 Koellefornia Kid-1978 Dodge Monaco 7. #34 89AKurt-1961 Mercedes 190 SL. 8. #8 fivesuns- 1957 Ford Custom Here is the starting line up so far. We're getting closer to the finish line. The competition is heating up! Some great builds here.
  20. This hasn't been my best year for model building. I hope to start back working on stuff in between the hectic schedule I have and maybe pull off something for this challenge. I'm not sure it will be my original plan but I have a few YOB kits to choose from. Thanks to all for keeping the CBR active. I've kinda been MIA around here lately and I need commit myself more to the Run. Keep up the good work and let's get the ball rolling! ???
  21. My son built his own version of the Badman 55 Cameo... I was impressed with his enthusiasm at 14. He builds alot of these types of builds. He's 19 now and loves the hobby.
  22. I made my own decals for the BadMan but yeah I think these decals are some of Revell's best work in recent years. I'll buy the kit regardless but the decals are a nice bonus and not to mention the return of the Gasser parts from the race version. ?

  24. Yeah, the original build is the one below I stripped and repainted. The paint is pearl yellow. It's the old Revell 56 Chevy.
