Great start Doc. You know we’re not getting younger I’m only a couple months older than you. It would be nice to see this old truck build I have several models from my childhood and teen years yet glad you did give up on it. I’ll be following -

Very nice combo looking forward to this -
This is my entry for the BRBO. It’s a AITM Mack RL700LS with a AITM Mercury Sleeper. I have also added some Don Mills 5 hole Alcoa wheels to the front with Herb Deeks rubber tires. The frame is a doner from a Monogram Mack R that will be modified. I’m uncertain about the rear wheels at this time I might go with 5 hole Alcoa or 5 hole Steel. This will have a pre 1973 dash in it casted by AITM. Here’s a parts layout and a small mock up. Enjoy the pics.

Here’s some more little details I got done tonight. Instead of snapping the Stack/Air Assembly to the back of the cab I keep it separated and touched up a few lights and Black wash the grill. I guess this will be my first complete build in 2020. -
Jeff Thanks for getting this together. I think it’s been 2yrs since I done a BRBO and I can sense this one’s going to be a lot of fun a very different atmosphere than the last one that I was in Lee

Looks very nice it’s ashamed you have to put the wet stuff on it soon then every thing will just blend together thankfully you took a lot of pic of the build. Keep the scratch going -
Ben I went to Auselow’s web site and looked those wheels and tires up and they are nice thanks for posting

Tom This truck reminds me of a truck that was in one of my old 1981 Auto World Magazine. The truck was built by Lou Kroack. Here’s some pics of it
