  1. Looking good so far. That Plamoz PE engine cowl looks great. I’ll def try to add that to my 918 build-whenever i get around to it lol.
  2. thank you James and JC.
  3. Welcome back! looking forward to seeing more of your builds!
  4. Hi all, Finished all the Borrani wheels and test fitted the body to the chassis. This Fujimi kit is very well engineered and fitting the body to the chassis was not difficult. I was fortunate that the engine plumbing didn't interfere with the hood fit. Now it's on to test fitting all the trim pieces for the body and modifying the window piece. I'm planning on using clear sheet styrene for the side windows. Thanks for looking!
  5. Thanks Dann. I used black ‘Faux Fabrics Textured Spray Paint’ from Scale Motorsport. This stuff is perfect for simulating the rough texture on cam covers and interiors. https://www.scalemotorsport.com/accessories/faux-fabrix-textured-spray-paint-black.html
  6. Beautiful work all around. The de chrome and matte black motor with that body color is a gorgeous look.
  7. Some more progress.. Almost done with the interior, just need to add the shifter and then I can finally get working on the body. Thanks for looking.
  8. Great job, the color and skull decals look awesome
  9. Very Very nice. All the body mods look great.
  10. Looking great! One of the better looking GT1 cars of its day imo, love that livery.
  11. Wow. Looks great already, the mods fit perfectly!
  12. Following along. Looking great so far!
  13. Hi Randy, For the switches I only added a little bit of black Tamiya panel line wash at the base of each switch to try and bring out the details. I also filled in the recesses on the switch faces with this same black wash. I used the HD instrument cluster piece. I painted it Tamiya flat black and removed the flat black around the gauge edges with thinner. I agree, the aftermarket steering wheel looks awesome. It should look even better with some paint to simulate the wood grain. Thanks for looking in!
  14. Thanks JC. Followin your lead and trying to get as many WIP pics on here as I can Thank you Tommy, I think I’m going to take your advice and leave the seats just painted. The pictures/lighting probably made the seats look partially painted.
  15. A bit more progress here, I mocked up the interior. Can't decide if I should add some sort of cloth effect to the seats. Does anyone know what material these seats were originally made of?? I also assembled the kit engine. I went with the kit provided carburetor fuel line part on the GTO and attached HRM's version to the kit engine. Thanks for looking in.
  16. Many thanks Bernard. You're right about the subject matter- this is one of my favorite Ferraris and my first 250 GTO, so I wanted to add a lot to it.
  17. Very cool
  18. Very nice!
  19. Great build Bernard, enjoyed seeing this come together. The Borrani’s look fantastic and I really like the tricolore stripes. Looking forward to seeing more Ferraris from you!
  20. I like it! Built this same kit a while ago. The purple and black really look good on the cobra!
  21. Thanks for the comments! I got this HRM engine from Randy at Model Builder's Warehouse and I've seen three Ferrari engine kits on there. This one, a 250 Testa Rossa engine and a 330 P4 engine. Not sure if HRM makes the triple carb engine for the SWB or California. I'd be interested in that also as these two Ferraris are on the bucket list. This HRM engine is excellent btw. All the little included details like the PE cylinder firing order badge really make it a fun build.
  22. Posting some more progress. The engine compartment is pretty much done. Thanks for looking.
  23. Thank you for all the comments everybody. Just a small update, getting close to finishing the engine and engine compartment. Made a chassis no. plate - it's a shame the kit doesn't provide a decal for this. Thanks for looking in!
  24. Looks like you worked out all the kit difficulties - awesome build. The two tone color choice and finish are great. Thanks for sharing.
