A little back yard customizing never hurt nobody! LoL I've seen 1st gen Mustangs with extra taillights on each side.
  2. Great stuff! Very meticulous! How many parts do you think you'll end up having?
  3. Wow, Paul! That looks beautiful!
  4. That's what I started working on first. I have a couple ideas running around the old brain cavity. I'll get some pics posted a little later.
  5. I may have an old Viper kit laying around to borrow stuff from.
  6. I use MAD distributors all the time. At one point, I had about three dozen of them in the parts stash.
  7. I have a TMR '69 Cuda convertible conversion kit. It seems to be a good piece of work.
  8. I got this project from Sam I Am as a Dust Collector Trade (stalled projects) This is a kitbash between a Little Red Wagon (Dodge A-110) and a Dodge Viper. Sam started blending the two together, and I'll attempt to put some sort of spin on it here in Tennessee. Everything you see in the above photo was done on Sam's workbench. I may pester him a bit for more ideas as I go along. I already have one helper onboard.....
  9. I'm working my up to those '66 Ford pickups!! HAHAHA I did get these today: First up, is the '64 Plymouth "Lawman" kit: Next, is the V-100 project Sam I Am posted in the Dust Collector thread: He and I worked up a trade, and I'll see if I can do this project justice.
  10. Light yellow was a good color on that body style. I've seen several here in Tennessee!!
  11. Also, it could have been a slight mis-step made by the original builder. A lot of variables could be present. Even down to the way the engine block halves mate up. I've had a raised ridge show up that wouldn't let the intake manifold sit down flush, creating a taller profile under the hood. If that happens, I file the block down until the intake fits good. I've also had to work on motor mounts that had little ridges, or small amounts of flash that wouldn't let the engine sit as low as it should. These possibilities could be present in these previously built 'Bees. Probably not worth tearing the model down completely, especially if you can remedy the problem by filing the carbs and/or air cleaner. Let us know how it works out.
  12. Decisions, decisions!!! Get yerself three total '69 Cuda kits, and do all three!!! Problem solved! LoL
  13. Great dio!! The black and white photos remind me of when the show first came on.
  14. Last year I had a problem with spraying Krylon clear over Krylon Gloss Khaki. The Khaki was smooth as silk, but as soon as the clear hit it, bad wrinkles appeared. Luckily, I started with the hood, so I didn't mess up the body.
  15. Nicely done! My '69 Bonneville 4dr was a very similar color.
  16. These big wagons were also available in two doors. There is a bright red one sitting in a yard about 15 miles from my house. No woodgrain on it. I never can remember to take my camera when take that route.
  17. Either that, or hinge the greenhouse to tilt, sorta like the bubble top show cars from years ago.
  18. I think it looks great! A friend of mine had a '67 Buick Skylark convertible in this same color combination.
  19. Very interesting! I'll be watching this project!
  20. Welcome, Chris! I also use a magnifier. I have a swing arm lamp with a circular fluorescent bulb, and there is a powerful magnifying lens in the center of it. I have a lot of light trained onto the work bench, too. It helps to brighten up those small parts, so these old eyes can see them! LoL
  21. I know this thread is about resin, but I kinda wonder if 3D printed parts might do something similar.
  22. You touched on one possibility, Steve. The resin may behave until it is painted. Certain paints and primers might cause a reaction in the resin that other products wouldn't. I don't know this for a fact, and I didn't stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night. LoL
  23. I like 'em with those red stripes.
  24. Right....scale trains. They're part of the scale world to me! LoL If I had room for a layout........
  25. I'm kinda curious about how the compressor part works.
