  2. I use Fotki, also. I changed the first time PB had a bad hiccup. Haven't had any problems, since.
  3. That's interesting. Thanks for the info. I never thought about the leaves being a problem.
  4. Thanks for the compliment! AMT did a stock one in '66: I have one in the stash. The one I built in the above pic came from this kit: I understand it's the same as the Hemi Under Glass kit.
  5. My goodness!! You must have a crew of MINIONS working on these while you sleep! LoL Every one of these builds looks great! Well done!
  6. TOP SHELF builds, each one! The paint on the Wildcat is amazing!
  7. Great end results on all of them!
  8. Looking in the AMT '68 Toronado kit, I noticed it has the exact same chrome tree as the Jo-Han '70 kit. The instructions call the custom wheels 'Hurst' wheels. I have a couple '67 Toronado kits to check out, to see if they have them, too.
  9. Thanks, Carl! That is KRYLON Gloss Khaki from a rattle can. I sprayed it over Duplicolor gray primer. It laid down fairly smoothly.
  10. those meds prescriptions
  11. Got these a couple days ago: '68-'72 Dodge Dog Dish Caps. Got 'em off eBay. Supposed to be 3D printed from Missing link. They look very good to me!!! I'm gonna hafta find some more of 'em!!
  12. Here's what I started with: AMT '62 Impala convertible body with MONOGRAM '58 Thunderbird roof. Here's the final: I applied about four coats of Duplicolor sandable primer, then about four coats of Duplicolor gold. I can detect a slight red tint to the gold on the roof. It doesn't bother me too much, since it's on the roof. If it had been the hood, or a fender, or patch panel somewhere on the body, it would have been problematic. This is the sort of "bleed thru" I would like to avoid in future builds.
  13. Very interesting project! Great subject matter. Your work looks great, too! What were the model companies thinking in the 70's? We missed out on a bunch of cool GM and Ford possibilities! I actually came very close to buying a new Free Spirit Buick that year, but changed my mind and went back to a MOPAR.
  14. First things first...if this is in the wrong are of the forum, please have an admin to move it. Thank you! Now...I was nosing around in the stash, and got into the Oldsmobile section, particularly Toronados. I pulled these two kits down and had a look inside, again: The price guide I have calls the bottom kit a 1971, and the top kit a 1972. The body in the C-111 kit has a vent molded into the trunk lid, and no molded in vinyl top. The body in the C-208 kit has the vinyl top molded in, and no vent on the trunk lid. According to what I saw on the 'net, a '72 Toronado indeed does not have a vent on the trunk lid. Maybe useless information, but I thought it might come in handy for somebody, someday! LOL Also....I took a peak inside an AMT 1970 Toronado kit, and found these Hurst wheels: Out of curiosity, I checked the Jo-Han kit, and found this set of similar wheels: The AMT kit actually has the Hurst emblem molded into the center cap, where the Jo-Han kit has a rounded dome type center cap. I never thought I'd find Hurst wheels in the Toronado kits!!
  15. Thanks, Dann!!!
  16. Very sharp GP! I like the color you put on this one.
  17. Here's the box I had: Here's what was in it: Here's what I did with mine: The chassis for this kit is promo/curbside style, and that is what I went with on this build. I concentrated on the topside and inside. If I had another kit, I would be interested in the chassis upgrade. I'll follow along to see what you fellas come up with for future reference.
  18. Fantastic group of builds! Such a wide variety. A lot of these we don't get to see very often. TOP SHELF stuff in every pic!!
  19. Thank you, Dann! I got those little MINIONS from a seller on eBay. Here's a link to the build up photos: https://public.fotki.com/imperialbucky/minions-garage/ I never posted a build thread for the garage. Wasn't sure how much interest it would generate.
  20. Fabulous work! Just when I think I've picked a favorite, another one catches my attention! Averaged more than one per month. That would be a record for my work bench!
  21. Welcome! You'll find a great number of TOP SHELF builders on this site. Plenty techniques, tips, and tricks to try out. I usually learn something new every time I log in! Have fun, and post those progress pics!
  22. My very first 1:1 car, which I purchased in 1973, was a 1966 Dodge Coronet. I gave $600.00 for that 1-owner, low mileage beauty. Amazing how things have changed.
