  1. Here's the blade I have in mine: I tried a regular #11 blade, but this one allows me to maneuver around curves better. I sometimes use it to trim BMF.
  2. I never knew about the red fender wells until you started this build. Very sharp!
  3. I gotta get practiced up on my airbrushes, so I can start using these fantastic colors!
  4. I'm liking this Bug!!! Go Big Orange!!! My nephew and his wife graduated from UT back when Peyton Manning was there. I'm a fan, but have never been in the stadium. I was always working at gametime! BUMMER!!!
  5. That color gets better lookin' all the time!!!
  6. That's a gorgeous 'Vette!! Great color!
  7. I really like this!!
  8. Very nice paint, all around!!!
  9. Another peeve I have is in the mold process. It happens when the mold sections don't line up right, throwing an offset in areas such as window trim, or fender edges. They can be hard to deal with, at times.
  10. I have had the little bottles of TESTORS enamel paint turn into a stone-like substance. A toothpick won't even puncture it. TESTORS enamel thinner won't break it down, either. Those bottles go into "File 13", and I hafta make a trip to get more.
  11. I agree that it's possibly a first gen Falcon left rear taillight.
  12. Mixing it with a modern 300 should be a blast! I'll be watching! I currently own a 2017 300s that has a potent 300 horsepower V-6 in it! I'm fairly well satisfied with how it runs, so I can only imagine what the HEMI would be!
  13. ................and a '76 Malibu Classic........................
  14. Sharp build! Those decals look like they were a fun bunch to apply!! LOL
  15. Thanks for the info! I have some of the shimmer paint in different colors. Gonna hafta get some squirted on a model and see it does down here in Tennessee!!
  16. Intriguing paint job! Super sharp build! A standout in my opinion!
  17. Cool Ford!! Red and blue look like they get along well together! What paint did you use on this build?
  18. WOWEEE! Great color combo! Superb shine! Exquisite build! TOP SHELF!!
  19. Very nice work on this one!!
  20. I think you have chosen a good kit to start on. The thing about flipping the radiator/shroud assembly shows just how useful "dry-fitting" subassemblies can be during the build process!
  21. I agree with everyone here! It would be on the FRONT edge of my shelf!
  22. Great work on the stripe! Tamiya tape is the way to go for smooth edges. And the primer was a good idea, as it doesn't seem to have a tendency to run. Eagerly waiting for more progress on this OLDS!! BTW, my wife had a black '68 Cutlass back in '68. Pity I didn't know her, back then! LOL
  23. This came from the Antique Automobile Club forum: The only available stripe colors were A=black, B=white, O=orange, and R=red. Vinyl top colors were black (2), blue (4), teal (5), parchment (6), buckskin (7), and gold (8) This came from a thread pertaining to the '68 4-4-2.
  24. Here's a little snippet I found on Wikipedia: All standard 1968 4-4-2 engines are painted a bronze–copper color, as with the 1967s, topped with a fire-red air cleaner.
