  1. I guess I'm a proponent of them taking what they have and issuing new subject matter from that. A prime example for my interests would be to take the REVELL '67 Dodge Coronet R/T and back-dating it to represent a '66 Dodge Coronet 500, and then make it a convertible. Subjects that have been kitted before, no matter how good or bad the older kit, get less interest from me, although I did spring for the recent '68 Chevelle and the '69 Boss Mustang. Bring on something that hasn't been done.....'73 thru '77 Pontiac Grand Prix, Chevy Malibu, Buick Regal, Olds Cutlass, and Pontiac LeMans would be nice.

    Thanks, Wayne!!
  3. Great way to re-purpose! Looks extremely functional!

    Junk.

Very nicely done on a "Backyard rebuilder". Great pics, too. Very clear.
  5. I kinda had an idea that would be the opinion of the ARII kit! That's why I haven't built the Mustang.
  6. Here's another one.....in 1/24 scale, put out by ARII: Don't know anything about this kit, but I have a '72 Mustang kit in the same series. The Mustang seems to be MUCH bigger than 1/25 AMT and MPC Mustang kits, which makes me wonder if the 1/24 scale callout is incorrect.
  7. Yessir! Fuel cap is waaaaaay back near the rear wheelwell:
  8. I really like this step-by-step procedure! I'll keep this in mind for future builds.
  9. Really cool pickup! Perfect color for a '96 Dodge! I like the bed texture, too. I'm gonna hafta start using that method on my pickups, now!! LOL
  10. This is a great looking Merc!! Looks long and low! Perfect color for a cruise around a Florida beach! I'd certainly drive it!!

Thanks for all the great comments! I had a blast building this one, as it brought back memories of going home on Saturday night with red dirt in my hair!! I just now saw another great dirt track Chevelle build on this site, and it reminded me of some older Chevelles that ran the track where we raced.
  12. That looks great! I like the dirt track residue messing up the red and white!!
  13. I think that is one of the coolest hoods available from the sixties. Very functional, without obstructing the driver's view of the slowpoke he's about to overtake!
  14. The red car might be the '65 Comet
  15. It appears to have a Tennessee Antique Auto license plate. I'm surprised my home state would allow it to have one!
  16. A few years back, I bid on and won this: What I got in the box was this: A nearly complete, unpainted, unbuilt '65 Barracuda. I saw this in the pics on eBay, and was hoping nobody else would notice. I got it at a very fair price, and built this out of it: Sometimes, you can find a bit of a gem.
  17. That might even be allowed on some golf courses!!
  18. Hmmmmmmmm........'66 long bed Ford....'66 short bed Ford....'66 stepside Ford....'66 utility bed Ford....one 48 foot flat trailer.....what's my total? This could get costly!! LOL Are these pickup kits going to have options to build '65 or '66 year models in the same kit?
  19. I like 'em all, except that pink and white Mustang! EEEW!!
  20. For hauling the Joker, Penguin, Mr. Freeze, Riddler, and others to the hoosegow!!!
  21. Rest in Peace, Damon. I'm sorry for you loss of a friend, Ben.
  22. And......today we have it BACK down to $499.00!! https://www.ebay.com/itm/Unbuilt-original-AMT-Chevy-Rescue-Van-1-25-scale-model-kit-T516-300-NEW-SEALED/233030838147?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649
  23. The "spoiler" on this roof rack is actually more of a deflector: It directed air flow down across the tailgate window, to help keep dust off.
  24. I forgot to mention the side pipes on Petie!!!
