Very nice!

I like the rear treatment so far. Taillights in the surrounds on either side of the license plate would be cool if you went bumperless. If you go with the thin chrome bumper the taillights would be somewhat obstructed. They would probably be too low in a real world application without a high center brake light in any event. Still looks cool, though!

Got the paint after having to have the pink redone. The 1st batch they sent wasn’t even pink but they quickly replaced it with the correct color. Also picked up some Duplicolor primer just to be sure I have a good barrier for the heavy duty thinner the paint requires. (I don’t know if the Tamiya primer would work) Got most of the leaks plugged in my air compressor. Been working on smoothing out the front bumper before the Alclad chrome and body has been prepped for primer. And check out the engine detail! ? These folks came with the model and had been misplaced. Check out the herring bone pattern on the seat.

I had that issue with a Dodge Caravan. No matter what I tried the red bled through and I was painting it white! I finally gave up & found one molded in white. About a month ago I took a look at the red bleed through Caravan & it no longer has its pinkish hue! Oddly the rear bumper still looks pink (don’t remember what the front bumper looked like. I usually paint all parts at the same time so not sure why the discrepancy.) I know I had tried everything suggested: black primer, silver paint, even a stain blocker. Still looked pink until I now ? I had heard once that setting bare red plastic in a window or somewhere that it’s exposed to uv light will leach out a lot of the “problem”. I may have tried that with just the body but don’t know why it still looked pink when I first painted it but not now. Maybe after going through all that I was just seeing pink! BTW The Vette looks great!

I bought 8(?) kits &/or transkits when they announced their closing with no thought of selling them. I then had a chance to buy any leftover stuff but figured I spent enough already even though they had some other kits I would like to have. After seeing these kits sell for so much I wish I had! I have only started 2 of their kits, both on th back burner for now. These are the 1st resin kits I’ve worked with with the exception of a somewhat clunky LFC Dodge trans kit that I purchased decades ago. (It remains mostly unstarted. It took a real effort just to get the interior to fit into the cab & even then there will be fit issues with the frame ? )

It sucks when a kit doesn’t go together the way it should. You would think the manufacturers would correct these errors before putting them on the shelves or at least before the 1st reissue! However, I thought you had planned to build it like your friend’s, without a spoiler (if that helps... ?).

Uh, I got paint ordered. Desert rose and Dover white. Correct colors for the’56 Chrysler...

As Stacy & Tom are continuing with they’re builds I will submit mine, a Revell/AMT ‘56 Chrysler New Yorker St. Regis. I will attempt to make this-look like this-my Dad’s ‘56. I have started another along with it as some of the pictures show. (It will be a mild custom) Only planning to get the one done but the other may get completed in the process. I don’t know why there is a quarum of 8 needed for a round to be official but hopefully another will join in. Maybe we will complete the first unofficial round! Now off to find desert rose paint!

I haven’t seen any updates on the next round but if its a body count you need I will go another round. Not sure what yet as nice weather may limit my model time?. Most likely the ’56 Chrysler from the dreaded crypt of the 1:32. I will definitely decide soon.

Very nice! looks like the 50 year wait to find the right subject to use the Cal Custom scoops was worth the wait! The linkage looks to be spot on scale wise, a feat that most fall short.

I may be wrong! There could be enough room for 4 or possibly 5 fifty’s MoPars!Now to get busy and get them built!

A few pics with a load on. I was disappointed that it is not all that big and looks like it will not hold 4 mid to late 50’s Mopars as I had hoped. Can you imagine backing that Plymouth up the ramps?!Not much room for a big car here. The pickup fits well in that spot but it had to ride on the tailgate since it was the only vehicle with “parking brakes!”?

Thanks. It wasn’t really much. Just a box stock build. It was the first semi trailer I built. I was most concerned about it going together with all the sides squaring up. As it turned out that was not a problem. Finding a place to build something so big seemed to be the biggest challenge! The washer & dryer worked well when there was no laundry to do. ? Thanks to Snake I gotter done!

Gotter done just under the wire! Have to find some red side markers as the ones in the kit are too small. Also have to decide on a license plate. More pics after I get a load on.
