  1. Looking real tasty, I liked the tonneau cover better... -RRR
  2. "SBC mafia"...gotta keep an eye peeled for those guys. Those Switcher mags are some of the best ever tooled and that Tamiya semi-gloss looks good on them... -RRR
  3. Well now, isn't this just a tidy little package? One of my favorite body styles, there's something about how the body smooths right on over to the cowl....nice work! -RRR
  4. I turned my attention to the ramp this week. I started assembling some of it prior to paint. The minimal MPC instructions leave a few initial questions as far as the open compartments and provided (or lack thereof) interior panels. I fabbed up a few sides not provided to ensure items don't fall out of the compartment! Interestingly enough, the box art shows that both moveable ramps slide into the area below the main 'floor' of the wedge. see them tucked in? well the truth is that both of them DON'T fit! So, decided to trim off the triangle side parts and add thinner styrene edges to narrow the ramps to fit under. I also shortened them as I won't need them to be so long as the whole COE and ramp will be lowered (praise the lowered). the new edges need to be sanded up and shaped....I also tidied up the rear valance as it was just left open as per MPC designed it. That will give a nice spot for tail lights and license plate.... -RRR
  5. Now that I look your little tub, I realize that is the same body I used for the cowl of this Salinas Special. -RRR
  6. Maybe we need to start a new thread: What did you see on the lake today? or, not..... -RRR
  7. This is awesome! I had forgotten about the Quadraduece. I really like that front end treatment with the '38 pickup grille. I was looking at one a few days ago and thinking about where it could be used. I'm looking forward to seeing more. -RRR
  8. I haven't made much progress on the COE lately. I did shoot a guide coat of primer, there's a few areas to address, but looks pretty good. My paint has arrived..... I did start working on a visor from the Revell '49 Mercury woody wagon. I narrowed it and shortened it...more work to be done it still. way too long.... That's better.....Hopefully more work will progress this weekend..... -RRR
  9. Nice work on the 1/32nd scale tank! Bravo! -RRR
  10. This is VERY impressive! Looking forward to seeing some more..... -RRR
  11. It's easy to get carried away with weathering....-RRR
  12. Thanks, TIM....That was a collaborative effort with Kit Karson and me. -RRR
  13. Well done! Nice clean build with classy wire wheels... -RRR
  14. Ok, here's more... I really didn't like the wide open wheel wells, so with a bit of scoring and cutting of styrene, they look a little better, IMHO.... after a little sanding and a schmear of putty, it will look a LOT better....more this weekend.... -RRR
  15. I hope you, I'd like to se what you can come up with! -RRR
  16. It can be done in 1/25th scale. It takes a bit of skill, some scratchbuilding and a lot of time: https://public.fotki.com/jferren/kr-kustomsrods-bell/ -RRR
  17. That angle chop on the sedan looks mean, I might have to try that one day....-RRR
  18. You had me at Maverick and nailed it with a Cammer....Superb, just mean looking!! -RRR
  19. That's neat! I love all of the scratch building! Keep on building.... -RRR
  20. I'm glad you still had those pix, KK!! He does such awesome job, doesn't he? The amazing part is that KK sits and studies the subjects, measuring, eyeballing, scribing, marking, gauging.... and when he grabs the Sawzall, it all fits back together in a precise manner. Me? I just start whacking and then I fix it in the mix. We get (pretty much) equal results.... -RRR
