  1. Very very nice!!! Love it! That car is so popular here now I want one of those kits
  2. Boricua! Not a Carrera GT, and not even finished, but what the heck. Anyway we are alone here because everybody else is in Toledo  Here is a long term Porsche project. A Tamiya GT3 I'm converting into a 2003 model year. It will most likely be Porsche Cobalt blue. Thanks,
  3. Hello, Back at the workbench. Machined rotors for that unique rotor wear look. Just a little touch up here and there on the color edges and into the chassis they go. The fronts are supposed to be a bit larger than the back, but you can't tell. Oh well... Thanks, Ismael
  4. I hope I am not boring you with all this, but I'm still excited. Besides, this is reference material so it is NOT off topic The car has barely stopped when they are already on it Driver out taking his seat insert with him Next driver already in the car After the driver change is complete then the crew is allowed to service the car Off it goes with a magical ear shattering thunder Only 38 seconds between all these pictures After the car was gone, the Michelin guy took the tires for analysis Ron Fellows checking timecharts Olivier Beretta checking timecharts You can tell I am still excited about this... Thanks, Ismael "the Corvette guy" Gonzalez "You haven't lived until you hear a C6-R in anger"
  5. That's cool! It usually takes me longer than that to glue the engine halves
  6. David, It was a real pleasure meeting you and your wife. These pictures are from car #4, which ended in the podium in 3rd place. I have more pictures I need to work on. Thanks,
  7. Hello, We all know race cars get dirty during a race. But I was impressed on how filthy the C6-Rs got during the Petit Le Mans race. If this is after 10 hours, I can't imaging after 24 in Le Mans. Now here is a weathering challenge Before: After: you can't even see the decals in the door! Thanks,
  8. Eric, Yes, they told me about Matt's moving. I hope that goes well. I left a little something for you and Matt with Bob. I hope we get another chance to meet! Thanks,
  9. Good Luck... I'll have these and more in a reference page later on. Thanks,
  10. It is all about me I'm the center of the universe Nahhhh. I'm only human, I'm only human, I'm only human Here are some pics of Petit Le Mans. I'll be posting many more as time permits. As you can see I had a blast!!!! http://puertoriconet.com/images/Atlanta2006/ Thanks,
  11. John, that came out REALLY nice! Maybe we should do a 612 posting day. How about the 6th of December? Thanks,
  12. Now that you mention it, here is a pic of the unfair air inlet. You can see it is less than 1 inch diameter. This is one of the many pictures I'll post, probably in a separate web page along with the story on how I became "part" of the Corvette racing team for this race. Thanks, Ismael
  13. ... I can't find the words to describe the experience, because every superlative is an understatement. I don't deserve all that fun!!! I had the best car time in my life. Meeting David Palmeter at the track and Bob Downey, Wayne and the whole ACME gang was absolutely GREAT! I had the best of times. I need to cach up on a few things (like sleep) but I'll be posting more about the trip and some of the 350+ pictures soon. My new motto is: "You haven't lived until you hear a C6-R in anger" Thanks,
  14. Petit Le Mans: Here I go!!!!!!
  15. GREAT build Lyle! These kits are a home run. To the ponit that even I may consider them...
  16. Welcome to our not so secret hideout
  17. Steve, that's a beauty!!!! it looks GREAT !!!!!!!!
  18. Mark, Best of luck with the show. Looking at the contest web page, what does "No sweeps" means? I'm not really familiar with shows or contest rules. Thanks,
  19. I have 2 words: Hellas Blue Thanks,
  20. Hello, I really enjoyed every second of the time I spent bringing this to its former glory. I had to fight temptation to "update" or improve on it. This is the way it was 18 years or so ago when I was 18. So it's been with me half of my life It will now reside in a display case, hopefully to last a lifetime. Unfortunately the chrome has faded badly and it is still missing a wiper. The only ugly part of this car is the uptop. Not too bad for a teenager isn't it? Thanks,
  21. Cool! I've seen those Cappuccinos in my trips and a Miata looks as big as a '75 Cadillac convertible next to it
  22. What a mess! Good thing I finished the current project. I was getting less and less space and I ended up with just a square inch to work in It will take a big effort to organize it back so I can start on something else... Thanks,
  23. The only bad part is that it will eventually be finished
