  1. Interesting projects. But I have to ask: Is that an Abarth in the bed of the pickup? Any more info on it? Thanks, Ismael
  2. Glad to see you back at it! My favorite is the C6 but that is no surprise Cobra Colors Daytona Sunset Orange is one of my favorite colors. My first C6 was painted that color. When you work on that Corvette, watch out for the driver's side front wheel. It may not be properly centered in the wheelwell. Thanks, Ismael
  3. Hello, Repeat with me: "Quick Build curbside shelf model" "Quick Build curbside shelf model" "Quick Build curbside shelf model" "Quick Build curbside shelf model" Then why I find myself putting a photoetch key in the ignition with a leather fob? or a Pininfarina photoetch scritp? or adding the inside door locks, or all the switches or the shifter or the levers, or the seatbelts..... etc etc etc? Because I'm CRAZY and I can't help it That been said, I'm happy with this, but not overly happy. I feel like it is missing a soul or something... The piping looks better in person than in the pic. It was black but it didn't work, so I painted it seat color. "Quick Build curbside shelf model" "Quick Build curbside shelf model" "Quick Build curbside shelf model" Thanks,
  4. Looking good James! I have one in the pipeline, but not a convertible. My plan is to do it silver with either red or black interiors. Thanks,
  5. An appropriate quality respirator is a MUST. You should also consider some kind of safety goggles to protect your eyes and some skin protection like gloves, but even a Subway sandwich bag will help. Thanks,
  6. Bob, That looks great. Something you don't see often. Scale or 1:1 What paint did you used for the blue? I don't see any reference to it and that's the right color for a racer project I have in mind... Thanks,
  7. "INSPIRING" is such an understatement... 8)
  8. AHHHHRRRGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!! I just superglued it in place a few minutes ago  Airbrushing from the inside while attached sounds risky....... but i'll think about it Thanks,
  9. Hi, Three easy steps: 1) Make sure the part is at least 10 miles away from any grease, wax, dirt or any other foreign material. In other words: squeaky clean 2) Don't stop at sanding it smooth. Polish it! Any small imperfection, sanding line or flaw will be amplified at least 10 times. 3) Take it easy and don't rush it 4) Have fun! Thanks,
  10. That's sinister nice Chris I had the oportunity to drive a Japanese spec Evo 7 that belongs to a friend (race car driver) in Jamaica. With over 300 hp and all wheel drive, that thing rocks! Thanks,
  11. Thanks Bill. Yes that is Tamiya Royal blue acrylic. It is easy to remove and the thinner will not harm the clear plastic. Not that I've stripped it 5 times already Thanks,
  12. Hello again, I stripped it completely and started all over again. I aimed at half the size of the original one. I checked some 1:1 reference pics and it seems to be roughly the right size. The windshield is not permanently installed. Just taped in place. It should go up 1 or 2 mm more. What do you think? Thanks,
  13. I don't know much about the subject, but this model has the right look to it. It looks GREAT! Thanks,
  14. Cool! I've been looking for a 330 either P3 or P4 for a long time. I'd love to do the yellow car in the Victory by design DVD...
  15. Hello, First a DISCLAIMER: This is my first attempt at this. Steve is in my list of favorite modelers I admire. His Beaumont is one of my favorites. Something I REALLY like from his creations is the top of the windshield tint. He made a phototutorial he has posted more than once. Well, here is my plunge into the unknown. I think it came a tad wider than I wanted, but it is either keep it or strip it all and forget about it. What do you think? Keep it or lose it? Thanks,
  16. Very nice Marcos! You are absolutely right: If it can move you from A to B, we'll race it Thanks,
  17. I haven't heard anything about those. I would have been interested in a 328 GTS, but not much at that price.... Do you know when will these be released? Thanks,
  18. It came out GREAT! I love it. Nice job John! Thanks,
  19. Darin, Your projects are always interesting and this one is no exception. I like the Corvette influence Any update on the Charger III concept? Thanks,
  20. Those wheelcovers look really good John! The car looks GREAT! If I may offer a suggestion if it is not too late: the tires are way too shiny. A light sanding on the tread will tone it down a bit. Just a suggestion. Thanks,
  21. Consistent results. That's why I gave up with spray cans years ago. The only times I use spray cans are with Plastikote T235 primer, which I use as a quick coarse general purpose primer, and I always have a can of hardware store flat black enamel for chassis tops, inside bodies etc. Other than that, I airbrush everything else. I tried once transferring from a spray can to a bottle, but it was a massive or should I say MESSive failure  Thanks,
  22. Hello, To say Red plastic has been defeated is an understatement! This time by a knockout on 4 rounds. (primer, color, clear, polish) This color is hard to photograph. The flash bounces wildly over the metallic particles making it look "dusty" (second pic), while natural light (first and 3rd pics) show it a bit darker and silvery than it actually is. It is a bit more blueish. It was cloudy and dark outside, so I hope to eventually get pics on bright sunlight. I love this color. From a distance it looks like a candy blue over silver. Now to the tedious task of masking and painting all the fine black trim. As always, your thoughts and comments are appreciated. Thanks,
  23. This is the closest I can get to that: red white and blue (or blue and white )
  24. Looking good Ben! That is one of my favorite cars of that era. In my opinion, the last great Buick......
