  1. Hello, Getting deeper into body mods. Getting the overall shape with styrene strips into the ballpark before finishing with putty. The rear diffuser was redesigned for 2011. Thanks,
  2. Hello, The 404 error did not let me do this in one post. Had to split it. See? I start a Ford and the forum breaks..... First impression: This car is bigger than I thought! And there is Revell's stupid roof In car camera dome that should be a separate part, sticking like a sore thumb. It brings bad memories back from the C7R build... I noticed that even if this is 1/24, the tires are exactly the same size as those in the 1/25 C6R. My intention is to stay as close as possible to box stock on this build. Thanks!
  3. Hello, Don't worry, I'm still the Corvette nut and will still make fun of Eff Ou Are Dee... Now seriously, I think this will be only my second Ford model. I did a Polar Lights pre-painted 2005 Ford GT when they were released. I also have in my stash a Fujimi GT40 in Gulf livery for someday. You see a pattern here? As you know, I love racing. Endurance/Road racing has always been popular. The latest Ford GT made a splash with its looks and unorthodox powerplant: A V6 turbo instead of the familiar V8. Chip Ganassi was selected to run the Ford GT racing program. The car debuted in the Rolex 24 at Daytona in 2016. Later that year, the car won the 24 hrs of LeMans. That's the car I will try to recreate here. Personally, I like the looks of the car, but I think it is the worst sounding car on the racetrack. But that's just my personal opinion. This is Revell's new Le Mans Ford GT. I'm already working to get appropriate decals for the 2016 winner which are slightly different that the 2017 represented in the kit. Thanks,
  4. I am trying to start a new thread but the 404 error is not letting me.
  5. Hello, The screw holes that held the discarded rear wing have proven to be a challenge to fill. Slowly working on it. Thanks,
  6. Looking good!
  7. Love it! That is one heck of a crazy ride! Danke Will
  8. Nice! Love that second RX-7. One of my dream cars when I was a teenager.
  9. Beautiful build! Actually both are!
  10. Now I can't get the Get Smart intro music off my head!
  11. Hi Ken! That is looking really good! I was not aware they were the same. Thanks,
  12. Looking good! Following...
  13. Hello, Unfortunately my dad has been in the hospital for a few days. His asthma is bothering him. Doctors say he is much better now but will most likely be a couple more days. So I took the oportunity to bring him the '51 to cheer him up. He LOVED it! I told him I'd take it back until he was released as an incentive ? The Dr. (pneumologist) came to check on him. Saw the model and loved it! We ended up talking cars for a while. I even showed him this forum. I also brought him a 1/18 diecast I fixed for him. A convertible that rolled over and landed upside down. Send your good wishes to my dad and I'll show him this thread. Not much to do in a hospital anyways.
  14. I like where this is going.
  15. That looks kind of cool. At first it looks like a demo for aftermarket parts. I like the engine and the the exhaust. Are you doing the "inverse" version as well? Thanks,
  16. Looking good! I'm a sucker for proper panel gaps. This car looks great in blue with the white stripes... hint hint...
  17. Impressive work! Love it!
  18. I followed this one closely. That is one gorgeous '55! In fact, so good I will not build one

  20. very nice! An all time favorite in WRC
  21. Nice! Love the scene of BTTF crashing Nativity. Thanks for the laugh. Also like the Escape and Golf...
  22. Hello, Filled the gigantic mirror holes (see pics above) by stacking and gluing styrene strips. Body filler was added and finished sanding smooth. After all bodywork is complete, primer will reveal the true progress but that is still a long way ahead. Thanks,
  23. Nice job. Looks good in white. In the test session in Daytona (Roar before the 24) they had them in white but the rumor is that they will run in a retro scheme.
  24. That is one sinister menacing cool looking car! Love it! How about a contrasting thin stripe down the middle? Maybe red or gloss black. Or maybe diagonally across the hood. Very thin, just to pop.
  25. that's one very cool '58!
