  1. No sexy box art, or instructions, comes with the Air Trax resin transkit of the Ferrari 330 GTC. I have two options for the chassis, both incorrect, not going to use the 275 GTB kit! I have an incomplete Italeri 250 SWB kit (no chrome parts, are tires), which could pass. The Fujimi 365 Daytona donated tires to my NART, that would be a cool resto-rod. Or maybe the Revell Superamerica or 612 Scaglietti to really be sacrilegious. ? It will take a bunch of work no matter what.
  2. ? No, second one done for this year's community build. Everyone has 11 months to build a more killer project. ?
  3. I did the Aoshima kit with some Tamiya parts, look forward to seeing another one of these nice looking cars become a proper model.
  4. Appreciate it! You are progressing really well, not slopped together like mine. ? Being positive is the only way to get anything in life done. I was in full obsessed possessed mode. It also disguises the sub par paint work. Thank you!
  5. I just discovered this designer The_Kyza, but I also don't do video games, or use PhotoShop, so I'm in the dark about many things. ? I used to draw cars, on paper, last century. Amazing to see what can be done with digital tools. Looks like some cool ideas for anyone willing and able to tackle.
  6. Very nice execution of your imagination!
  7. I always use the Dremel cut-off disk. Hold with locking forceps. I finish the end with a quick and heavy push to create a little burr, for the superglue to grab too, and for an exposed end, a light pressure grind, using the side of the disk.
  8. Yea, just stick an engine in there, how hard can that be? ? Thank you for the comment.
  9. Thanks for checking it out. You saw what I did on the Subaru Impreza, now I'm back adding one more detail. I was tired of seeing the hood not stay open in the display case, so I added a prop rod.
  10. I did put both kit boxes in the back, posted on my WIP topic. ? Only after getting my other projects done, if at all.
  11. Love the clapped out look! I live in a rural area, this is very common.
  12. Blowdriers are shared
  13. It's a desperate effort to hide my cheap repaint. ? It's also a carry over from military model building, and rally cars don't look right being show car shiny. Glad I could offend you. ? What makes you think I won't do another one? I have a Lexus body with nowhere to go. I need to pace myself too, to get more finished projects to enter your show. Wish I could keep up this pace all year.
  14. Thanks for lurking! It's just a pet peeve of mine, some do awesome details on an engine, and then have the hood without hood pins sitting on the table, or use a ratty broomstick (toothpick) as a prop. I like your Olds Comino, you could throw a bunch of cans in the bed. ? The only Olds I've built:
  15. Love the concept. I had an El Camino kit but sold it, too many ideas to distract from all the other ideas I wish to build. Very nice job so far.
  16. Thank you. I've seen street rod pickups with the bed floor raised, and it lifts up so you can see the goodies (or is it for gas filler access?), thin cigar mahogany would be an idea for the floor. There are fiberglass bed covers too, but put a kevlar decal on it. Or have what Farmtruck has, a camper shell. ? Thank you, and thanks for following too. I need to figure out a bright light studio, all black sucks up the meager bench lighting. The fact you are also using a rally car is a great start. Everyone has 11 months to outdo me. ?
  17. I can't add any unique holy cow that's amazing comment. That shifter is outstanding, the sort of scratch-building that catches my eye.
  18. I like it! Good to see the before and after shots.
