  1. Didn't know such a kit existed. Looks great! I'm amazed how huge Nissan pickups are now, and these are super rare to see on the road.
  2. Wow, that is very cool! Just because I own a '69 Chevy C-10 long bed, does not necessarily mean I'm biased in any way. I know kits for these pickups are now collectible, so nice to see one built. I could have bought 4 built models off eBay awhile ago, shoulda coulda woulda. Sorry, have to ask, thought '68 did not have side lights. My truck has them, but no wiring or bulbs in them, because it was a transition year for the new mandate.
  3. Huh, now I know why I never got that Lamborghini. This should be a fun project. Are you going to pose it like it's making a turn really fast?

  6. I've been involved with two other groups, first one is Yavapai Scale Modelers, then the very formal IPMS Lt. Ernest A. Love chapter, and currently another casual group called Where Eagles Dare. All I will say here is, personalities. I look forward to your review! I was going to spring for it anyway, so maybe I can argue with you about the merits. Just looking at the tips, can't see why they won't work.

  8. I asked customer service at Spot Model about this topic. Their response: On your thread, here's our two cents It's true that MFH is now quite focused on 1/12 and 1/43, not releasing almost anything in 1/20-1/24, but it's not related to any problems with Ferrari Thing is that Mr. Hiro has and always will do whatever he is in the mood (a true scale modeling free soul :), whenever he wants, whatever he wants, and just the way he wants, and during this period he's just not in the mood of Ferraris or 1/20-24th That simple
  9. Bumping this old thread, because I searched before posting about something I was turned on to at a recent club meeting. I've done the X-acto blade thing before. I've done the thinned black in the lines, and afterwards thought it looked overdone on a pearl white paint job. It also depends on the kit, how much needs to be done on panel lines. Has anyone tried the Tamiya engraving tool? Not what most hobby shops carry, but the tungsten variety, price no object. There are other brands too, Saki-Gake and GSI Creos. They are also called line chisels. I've dealt with the pushing out of the plastic, these supposedly don't. Looks like a nice tool for straighter lines, not circles and tight curves. https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2380057.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.H0.XTamiya+engraving+tool.TRS0&_nkw=Tamiya+engraving+tool&_sacat=220
  10. Gor for it! Cutting out the doors is half the challenge, doing hinges that work is still a bugger for me. I have never tried flocking, looks like another bugger. I was recently turned onto Zero Designs self-adhesive carpet, worked great so far. https://www.hiroboy.com/Red_Self_Adhesive_Flocking_Sheet--product--5152.html

  14. Awesome source!
  15. That's a lame excuse for not owning the real thing. The reason I don't own a Countach, is because I'm too tall. Hope posting my photo doesn't top my quota, so steal while you can. When I attended the IPMS Nationals in 2013, they had a tour to a Shelby museum. It's not blue, but still cool!
  16. with hydraulic lowrider
  17. Thank you everyone. Yes, inaccurate kits are great for this theme. I have an AMT Mercedes Gullwing that I want to use for a diorama.
