  2. Welcome from Prescott! Built 500, you ever sleep or eat?
  3. Welcome! I'm a Ferrari nut too. When I get better, I might build some.
  4. Welcome! I live in Arizona, used to ski Alta. Only 40 unbuilt kits, eh? Think we can fix that problem. I have that Ferrari kit in the box, along with many others. Look forward to seeing more of your work.
  5. Steven and you are the only ones who mentioned (S)Flickr. I had a bad experience on that website. I signed up when I joined the MINI Cooper forum, was fine until I became an addict and got involved in their political forums, and then the you-know-what hit the fan. It was so bad, that I had serial troll come after me, and (S)Flickr staff would not give a rats, total lack of customer service, and they made my account show as "adult content" when there is no porn. Then they got the brilliant idea to make it more "awesomeness", and trashed the platform, making it impossible for anyone with slow internet and/or computer. And then all the ads, forcing you to pay to reduce the clutter. So I tried Ipernity, but the interaction was not the same, so I have let that go idle. I will look into Fotki.
  6. ^^^^ I've been telling myself to not get that Jeep kit, even though I like all the cool aftermarket things available for the real thing. I received military cars lately: Italeri- Camionetta AS Sahariana. It had 4 driveshafts going to each wheel. Also got detail parts for it. ICM- Mercedes Typ 320 Saloon. To go with the 170V sedans I got before. ICM- American Firemen (1910s) 1:24 scale, just for the boy, have a diorama idea. KA Models- 250GTO Deluxe Pack wheels and other aluminum and photo-etch parts. I'm really obsessed and possessed lately.......
  7. photo-etch part stuck
  8. I just checked that German website out, cool stuff!
  9. I would not have chosen 1/72, prefer 1/35. At first I was daunted by the tiny parts, but many car details are just as small. I've also been into German armored cars, this is along the same theme.
  10. celulose insulation between
  11. I discovered a kit that had loose tires that were on the decal, and messed the decal up. Should put tires in a paper envelope for storage.
  12. I haven't built the Fujimi kits, but I have 3 different versions, and the detail is insane. Built the Tamiya motorized when I was a teen. I also built a Nitto kit, only the tires are worth time, built into a Swedish S-tank. So Glad to see others still think the Fujimi kits are the best. I also have the Elemento, and have to agree Aoshima is high quality.
  13. Holy smokes, when I searched for the Airtrax, saw this on the side. http://www.mintmodels.com/1962Ferrari250GTLussoModelCarin18ScalebyAmalgam.aspx?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIpJ3CtMWz2QIVhZF-Ch0EpwaFEAYYASABEgJuNPD_BwE
  14. I have a Lusso on reserve with Spot Model, so hope it actually shows up, since I see this topic.
  15. I built the BTCC version last century. The only detail I added was hood pins. I drilled the holes in the brake disks, painted flat black, then rubbed soft graphite pencil to simulate the carbon. When I posted in a Fakebook group, the administrator liked is enough to use in the banned picture. Good luck finding one at a reasonable price!
  16. Scale Motorsport has a decal that could work. Yes they were sort of small. I want a 600 Coupe model, those were really tiny! http://storm.oldcarmanualproject.com/honda6001971.htm
  17. I did a search first before posting, nothing came up. Thanks.

  19. The 1:24 scale Hasagawa kit of the first generation Honda Civic hatchback. Since my first car was a 1977 Civic CVCC, I *had to* get two of these kits. I still have dealer brochures, great for reference (cutaway picture). I have not opened up the bags yet, if that's required for a proper review, I will do so. It's a curbside, decent engine bottom detail, but there is proper shock tower detail, as if there will be a chance for an engine kit. I'm wanting to build a US version, which will require scratch-building the front turn signals, door mirror, side lights, and the most demanding part of converting the dash to LHD, and I would need to modify the hood. I do see a CVCC chrome badge for the back, which is greyed out on the instruction sheet, but still need to do the grill and side badges. Decal sheet has lots of tiny things, but I have never seen window trim which is sort of silver done like this, all Japan market badges. Makes me think I should hold out for a US version of the CVCC?
  20. This Porsche tractor kit looks like fun!
  21. I've wondered the same thing over the years, since that's how Ferruccio got started. Diecast: http://www.lambodiecast.com/detail.php?item=model548
  22. Yes, I built the BTCC version years ago! Finding one at a reasonable cost is the challenge today.
  23. Yea, everyone wants a Nomad. I owned a 4 door '57 210 wagon, got tired of people saying "nice Nomad". Nobody has converted a Nomad into a run-of-the-mill wagon, yet.
