This was one of the first car models I built last century, think it was the first Countach kit. Looks great in black. I have 3 versions of the Fujimi kits, which are super detailed. Also built the Nitto kit, which is really an awful turd, which I had fun with. Good job finishing a model, more than I can say this year.

Well it’s finally announced.?

I haven't been on the forum for awhile, feel like I'm missing out now. ? Watch out for abusing the word "semi-", seems like Truckers are getting roped into topics not related with them. ? -

NAPA is ripping us off (more than ever?). Last month got a quart of Castrol oil for $8.50. Today it's $10+ so I didn't get it. I try to avoid ChinaMart but it was $6.28. They also had hydrogen peroxide, CVS didn't because it was recalled. Zero % inflation, right...... ?

1961 Mercedes Benz 190SL - Revell with a few modifications
89AKurt replied to 89AKurt's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Thank you! Thank you! What's really amazing, I finished it! I have 3 WIP on this forum that are buried. Appreciate it. You saying Revell did multiple piece body Corvette kits? There are so many other kits with one piece bodies, that I would think those never get built. Thank you. Yea, like the emblems I removed, the door handles were like a deep scratch in the mold. ? -
U.S. Postal Service to temporarily hike prices for holiday season Temporary, right....... get your kits and paints via mail now!

I think the Prescott Antique Auto Club has the prettiest location for a car show, Watson Lake Park in the Granite Dells, Prescott, Arizona. I don't take so many pictures at shows anymore, just of what I either own (or previously owned) or what is different. Saturday was packed, Sunday much less crowded and kicked back. I worked the water stand, so I sped through to take pictures. Just because I own a '68.... And had a '48.... On Sunday I rode my Chopper around to photo bomb. The VW club was about half the show.

Sledsel. ? Some of the people in the Prescott car club do that show, instead of our own. -
What did you see on the road today?

Prescott Antique Auto Club car show on Saturday, GTO Camino. Maybe I'll start a new thread of the show after I work it today. -
Matchboxes & Hot Wheels values have skyrocketed because of us destructors.

Saw this Rolls Royce the other day, finally downloaded and cropped off 89% of the picture. Never see this vintage of Rolls driving around, much less a convertible. The body color bumpers looks strange. -
I need professional help just digesting your project! ? I have this kit, and the second version, and all the photo-etch and even turned aluminum detail parts, but don't think I'll ever build them because of the c-f decals. I've had bad experience with some Scale Motorsport decals, the copper weave, so that turned me off. You are doing impressive work, and enjoy reading the commentary. I have to take pictures to see what I screwed up, understand!

Sorry can't help you, have only sprayed colors with automotive lacquer thinner. I'll be watching this topic.

Chasing high and low spots?
89AKurt replied to Dpate's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Plowboy made a very good post. I would like to know what type of light do you prefer. Might be my eyes, I need bright lights, the fluorescent bulb lights don't seem to cut it. Sunshine seems to be the best, can see high/low spots the best. -

Nice job on that Jimmy! -
You zipped it good! Because I owned an '03 S, of course I like it. Built only the Fujimi kit, have the Revell, glad to see one that is built. Love the paint job.

Might as well call this topic, Guess How Old I Am? I remember getting Bandai 1/48 military kits at Kmart for about $2-$3, Pactra paint at a real hobby shop was about 30 cents.

Splurged on this, forgot to put a bid in the last offering which ticked me off, just had to get it. Anyone know if the tires are loose and the glass isn't in a bag on these kits?
