  1. probably cut as close as possible to get the bulk off , then use a dremel at slow speed to get closer, and finish with a sanding stick.
  2. As stated before engines sold by dealerships, and parts houses, come in a variety of ways. The first is the engine block without heads or sheet metal, just the basic internal Parts are there. This is referred to as a Shortblock Second is an upgrade, all of the Shortblock parts, with the addition of cylinder heads. This is referred to as a Long block. Third is a little more complete with the Longblock,an Shortblock, plus all the sheet metal parts freeze plugs installed as well as other parts like a water pump usually no intake manifold. This is referred to a a complete engine. Fourth is an with all parts necessary to run from carb to pan water pump to distributor. Just add oil and coolant after install pretty much. This is referred to as a Crate Engine. at no time should an engine be called a motor because motors are electric.
  3. What brand of wheel is that five spoke. I have never seen one in, 1-1 with a ball bearing for a cap before.
  4. I was lucky enough to score one of the 30 Ford Coupes today while at my LHS today. Some Kanaka ,or Okole, or whatever colorful expression Gregg uses. Hadn't picked up his pre-order in six months.
  5. Box art pictures that do not represent what the actual product is. I prefer to see the built model beforehand, Mold seams on chrome parts that require complete stripping and doing over, Not enough choices in modern wheels, and tires. Licensing laws that prohibit Model manufacturers from accurately representing the product they are making like in the good old days.
  6. Oh Dang. I opened this looked at the first few pictures, and My head popped off. This is so Cool.
  7. I love the Model, and all things Pontiac. The Only improvements. I could suggest to make this terrific car better, would be to color the Pontiac emblems front and back in some clear red, the Park lights in front with some amber, the rear backup lights with a little flat white, give the side rear emblems a little black wash. Finally scrub off the year from the bumper's, and hang some plates on this it deserves to be driven.
  8. Replica's in miniature also produced a set of headers for the Hemi.
  9. If there were 7 up decals offered. We could build an. Up Yours version of this kit.
  10. I used the ones from the AMT phantom Vicki it has the same exhaust spacing as the Hemi.
  11. I have asked myself that question several times now
  12. Has the AMT 68 El Camino with the soap box derby racer landed on the shelves yet?

  16. That Model appears Very inexpensive to be a complete resin model in that scale. Reworking a model Resin, or Otherwise. Would likely come down to how well it was assembled initially. The differences in Resin to Styrene are cosiderable but not unmanageable IMHO.
  17. Ok thanks Bill. I had some detail master "ignition Wire" that looks very small in comparison to other plug wire material that I have seen.
  18. Would .0075 Dia wire be the right size to use for spark plug wire?
  19. I guess I can resume building the other 400 plus kits in my garage cabinets.
  20. There are resin copies of the jo-han 1970 Roadrunner you can use the AMT 69 RR for the rest of the drivetrain.
  21. I use the Martin Senour Tech Nique brand from Napa Available in Three colors, Easy to obtain, Not to expensive, Empties the entire can, comparable to both Duplicolor and Plasticote. I painted the new Revell 29 roadster with it and it did not craze.
  22. well then lets see one Dan is a very good model builder when He build's
