  1. Brad Norgaard "Gasser 59" might be interested in redrawing those decals. Paul LeMat is on Facebook you could possibly get some technical information by asking Him directly.
  2. I think this is a great Idea, John You, or Someone, should contact Evergreen Styrene Co and have them make diamond shapes with rounded cut edges for this specific purpose in different scales. That is just too cool.
  3. Great News. The last one I got, was in a bunch of Pieces in the box.
  4. I purchased a Badger TC-910 Aspire compressor with a new hose and an Omni 5000 airbrush yesterday, Used from Letgo. The owner only said He had used it twice, it was dusty and the Airbrush had some dried paint in it. I cleaned the AB out real good with acetone. Tried out the compressor it is unbelievably quiet. My old Compressor was so loud and obnoxious, that it could have awoken the dead.
  5. Its always a good practice to only fill the chip with paint some tend to overdue it, and it can be messy. Just enough paint to keep it level with the other surface after a small drop/dab of clear.
  6. The Deal is Something Sinister may have happened to those poor little molds, And Revell is not willing to talk about it. With Anyone! I guess thats their right, according to some on this stream. However that along with other factors, has fueled Speculation, Rumors, Innuendo, Price Gouging. All indicators seem to point to the fact that Revell is solid in their handling of the situation, and that those models will be back. The big ? Is When? Will they be the same? Did Revell have to start over? If they are new will they be as good, Or better than before? Molding issues happen all the time during the Manufacturing Process. Most damage from My experience is it rarely takes over a week to fix, yet there are always exceptions.
  7. Very Cool. Lots of great details. Just an FYI flash the basset hound is available in the AMT 57 ford fairlane kit.
  8. He was here at the Postal Hall on Saturday, Everything that He had, was double the price of what was listed in the MH catalog, and when down to the last one Zetterman was keeping that one for himself.
  9. Very well done.
  10. I like it so far.
  11. I have used wicked color's both thinned and straight from the bottle. I prefer straight from the bottle, sometimes I tend to over think the paint leading to a runny situation. You can compensate some for it, it just takes a little getting used too. Try applying at about 15-18 psi, open the needle up some, and test on some plastic spoons.
  12. Very Well done
  13. Tom, Maybe the next one you get will be the distressed body version with the Rat Rod Box art.
  14. Beautiful Engine. I am not familiar with Henry J's but were the window cranks, and door handles that long?
  15. I never Said that Revell was under any obligation to Provide Specific Information. My original post only brought out that the secrecy is fueling some speculation of what truly happened, and if the kit will ever be produced again.
  16. We have some issues involving this kit we cannot discuss at the moment. This statement sounds like the Beginning of a Secret. I have heard it said differently before, But that ended with DooDa Doo, and began with Listen do you want know a secret.
  17. My Issue is why is there so much secrecy on Revells part. If there was Sabotage of the molds while in possesion of the Chinese Manufacturer. Why not just say so, and move on. Why let the problem fester into all this speculation about what happened, or what is going to happen. None of us here can change what has been already done. I have three original kits in my possesion, at the current today price that they are being sold at. I will not be buying anymore.
  18. About 1981 while I was in High School an older Classmate had a beautiful 68/69 El Camino that he had painted a nice dark blue metallic, with Crager 5 spoke S/S wheels, truly a nice car. After Graduation He inlisted in the Army, and while at basic training His father sold the car. Needless to say Bob was not a Happy Guy when He got back in to town.
  19. I have a bagged kit of a Revell 53 Chevy. It has only the straight axle included all other steering parts are gone. What would be a better suggestion for a replacement IFS front suspension?
  20. Yeah there are some Mouths. That quite frankly. I am amazed that Some people even kiss their momma with. So a spoon has got to be tough.
  21. What bothers Me today, and other days, is when my paint jobs look better on My practice spoons, than My actual model.
  22. I had wanted to get a short bed 60 f100. But held back because. I knew there was a flood of others, wanting some of the finest resin cast cars in the world. Maybe someday I will get another opportunity. The Holthause's deserve their rest, and retirement.
