  1. The alternator is based on the Reps and Mins GTO casting - Shortened a bit and garnished with some straps and things - the straps are made from some squashed tin wire - rolled around short lengths of .015 Plastic rod ..
  2. I think I mentioned this - the UMI Barchetta kit had a bag of white metal castings done by Herb Deeks - the exhausts were cleaned up and shaped for casting - this will be tricky - the rubber mold casting may effect the shape - but it’s worth a shot …
  3. Fuel pump. Styrene rod and some Evergreen and some .015 RB Motion bolts. And some Master Club resin bolts…. Will be attached to the nose of the left hand Cyl head …
  4. Sure looks good on my I phon.
  5. Cool if I follow - you poured resin into the bowls and machined the castings - right ??
  6. The early Colombo 12s mostly used mounts at the back of the cyl head - that’s what these two holes are for …
  7. Just about done - but I’ll machine an aluminum ring that the plug wires will feed into …. That will be a challenge - as it will require cleaning up the other side of my workshop - huge challenge …
  8. Working on the second magneto - the white parts are replacements/changes to the Reps and Mins GTO engine casting - and I cut the second one apart - because the magnetos are on offset posts - so there’s a right and left hand magneto - hard to explain …
  9. Thanks Bugatti fan [me too]. hope my post wasn’t confusing - I’m eyeballing the Barchetta pix on the MFH site - I am not building one - although you could twist my arm ..
  10. I’ve got a small bunch of Pinto’s kits - I’m a fan too - and I appreciate his willingness to produce in 24th scale - I may have the ideal kit at the bottom of my stash - will check - the 12th scale MFH Barchetta is about done - boy they’re fast - and they did their homework this time - everything looks great - and if you’ve got bout 900 burning a hole in your pocket - add “to your cart” and hit purchase - if not - their build photos have a lot of very helpful info for our smaller scale builds …
  11. Great shot - but no driving gloves ? FPP - Fernando Pinto - makes what appears to be a very nice 24th sc Barchetta - the older kits mentioned on this list are next to impossible to find- even the 24th sc MFH kit …
  12. Thanks - may not paint these yet - hoping to have them cast first …. Got the badge and wire loom onto the left hand valve cover … there is very little depth to the letters on the surface of the valve cover- but if I can get the parts cast - I think I can apply another badge on top to make “taller” letters ??
  13. Thanks. Probably tackle the tank when the engine is done and Off to be cast - think I’ll use some Renshape and skin it with alu sheet …
  14. MFH isn’t messing around - the kit is coming together quickly and it’s clear that they have done more research for their 12th sc Barchetta … the 24th scaleMFH Barchetta utilized the Gilco designed and produced early chassis - as used on the Spyder - the 12th scale kit chassis is a replica of Gilco’s other early Ferrari chassis - which has a straight frame rail “run” - with a suspended rear cross member to site the shocks - I think this is correct - but this was not clear to me until I saw the MFH posts …. Well done, MFH - now nail the body …
  15. Ouch so then the A in AC/DC stands for Australia … properly shamed …
  16. Will Power ? or Sir Jack Brabham ?
  17. Correct answer …. saw them 8 ? Years ago on their North American tour ….
  18. I checked carefully - actually Mr Barton - you ARE the Australian fan club ! Tame Impala or Midnight Oil ??
  19. On the left hand valve cover marking and drilling …
  20. Perth!! Holy cow - not sure if there’s room for you in my Australian fan club - I’ll check - how’s your summer ? I’m learning a lot about Ferraris on the Barchetta - and when I’m done - I still won’t have enough cash for a down payment - alas …
  21. Sweden ?? Is it cold there yet North America has not yet gotten Winter - starting to worry
  22. That was fun … next part …
