  1. Alot of on line ink was spilled wh the kit was issued about the windshield lines - think the kit lines are fine …
  2. But spending some time under this bonnet leads me to think that the kit eng bay isnt quite as good as it could be …
  3. This is a very recent restoration - and I think - a good one - Revell did get the under bonnet structure correct -

  7. There’s alot going on here - the panel is opened for the pedals - they are suspended fr two brackets - then i drilled holes for the brake and clutch fluid reservoirs - these are white metal - but they are not fr the kit - long story ..

  9. I too am an Immense Minis fan - always difficult to get a realistic finish for flesh - did u mix something fr AK paints or do they sell a “flesh” tone paint ? And nice job on that helmet -
  10. The pedal box is topped with a panel that holds the pedal brackets and opens either side for the rocker arms … evergreen strip and L shaped strip …
  11. Notice that the posts have holes in them - thats because oil and water lines ran right thru them on their way to and from the engine - so just how secure was the roll bar mounted ?? ??

Gracias MJ Strips of Evergreen are CAd onto the ridge - they form the lip that secures the eng cover - the 29 roll bar was attached to the front of the Ford engine - the roll bar on the 25 was attached to posts on the monocoque - so i’ve got to make these - more bits of Evergreen - for what i’m hoping is a casting for a Lotus 25 …
  13. Using the base of this steel cutter to gouge a ridge on the edges of the monocoque -
  14. Gunze Mr Surfacer - out of the bottle - will be used to eliminate the file marks on the surface - with some putty for a larger error on the base of the casting

  16. The water and oil pipes run through those channels - remember - the radiator had both a water and oil section -
  17. Using two diamond coated flat files to shape the round bottom of the monoque - removes the resin faster than traditional files - now to the suspension pick-ups -
