  2. With the brake drums glued to the axle - finally -
  3. The cable wire is fastened - glued - into a couple of RB Motion banjo fasteners - the fasteners are then bolted to a couple of nickel silver “guides” that slip into the eyelets in the two levers …
  4. The rear brakes are cable operated - like the fronts - made levers from Evergreen stock -

  11. Tire treads need some unpaved road course muck - i’ve mixed a stew of two paints that military modelers use alot - with some added pumice - just brushed it on and toweled off the excess …

Been thinking about the finish on the tires - I like the Tamiya rubber black - these would have been made from actual rubber - but the Grand Prix were held - still in ‘24 - on unpaved courses - so I dirtied up the suspension leaf bindings and I’m thinking that I want to add some dust/mud/clay/cinder to the tire treads - and maybe some oil stains to the sidewall ?
