I have everything but the headlights. I'm building a phantom convertible so I don't need the glass. I'll probably end up making the windshield from clear acetate since it will be seen from both front and back.
Finished! Almost.. The hood will be glued in the open position. I'll post some more pictures in the Under Glass section when I can get some outdoor photos.
Thanks everyone for following and for your help and photos!
Completed chassis. Again I used the gray wash pretty much everywhere. The left side exhaust pipe from the v8 fit the 6 cylinder with just a small piece added to connect to the manifold. I painted the exhaust with Testors rust, then dry brushed it with a little silver to bring back the metallic look.
I think you are right! Photos of the hardtop coupe that I see online have a more raked A pillar. If I knew then what I know now I could have used the whole roof from the '65!
The Texas 3d Customs 250 straight 6 is a masterpiece. Their products are super detailed and fit together well. Check out the size of the belt! Here I have weathered the engine with black, gray and rust washes. Nearing final assembly!
One of my Holy Grail builds! Nice work on the chassis. The molded in exhaust was what has prevented me from getting any momentum on this one. I like how you fixed it. Are you going to add a post behind the door?
