  1. That's a fine lot of really well built models!
  2. Thanks for the tip. That's good advice. I will definitely try it with colors but I'm still a little leery about the cloudiness when I mix lacquer thinner with clear. Here's the clear I'm using. It's actually Boyd's by Testors. I've been playing around with the clear and this thinner that I got at the boat store and never used. It looks promising, but I only brushed it on so far. It's a little "oily" and has a longish cure time but dries with a good sheen.
  3. All good advice! Thanks guys. I'll play around with it and let you know what works.
  4. I just tried mixing Model Master clear coat with lacquer thinner and it looks really cloudy. Maybe it only works with colors?
  5. Can lacquer thinner be used as a reducer for airbrushing Testors enamels? I still have a lot of them. I would like to have a hardware store substitute for Testors airbrush thinner. Trying not to pay $5 for 1.75 ounces. I also have acetone, mineral spirits, xylene, naphtha and automotive paint reducer. What are you guys using?
  6. Nice job recreating your old truck. It's especially fun and a challenge doing a build that represents something from your past.
  7. Beautiful stuff. The Plymouth is a work of art!
  8. Very nice, clean builds, and great photography too!
  9. Great stuff. They are all awesome builds!
  10. Good stuff. Keep them coming!
  11. Some wild looking stuff there. Nicely done!
  12. I built 10 this year and bought about the same. I sold about 15 though so the closet is emptying a little....
  13. One quality build! Hope you have a better year in 2025.
  14. Nice collection! I especially like the Ford GT.
  15. Nice work on the weathering. Everything looks very realistic. I'll be following!
  16. All sweet rides!
  17. Nice stuff, and great variety!
  18. Beautiful builds. The Galaxie really stands out!
  19. It's a beauty!
  20. The front bench seat is a home made resin copy of the rear seat. I added a piece of styrene for the seat back and some styrene supports underneath.
  21. I built this a long time ago when it first came out. Be sure to test fit the engine to hood clearance. I could not get the air cleaner to fit. It might have just been me. IDK if they fixed the issue or not on later versions.
  22. It's not for the faint of heart. Just about every piece needed to be modified in some way to make it fit. MPC = more problems coming!
  23. Nicely done! I like the roadster with trailer.
